The Merriman’s Culinary Scholarship Fund is a 501(c)3 organization established over 20 years ago. Its primary mission is to pay tuition to culinary schools for Hawaii residents in need. In light of the West Maui fires, all donations to MCSF for the next 6 months will go directly to feed the people of west Maui and provide support to our team members who lost their homes or are in especially challenging financial situations due to the fire in Lahaina on August 8, 2023.

LA CHECK IN will provide ways to pledge funds for LA Fire recovery and resilience, including: First responders on the front lines Evacuees – including families, the elderly, animals, and shelters for those who already were experiencing homelessness before the fires Displaced domestic, outdoor and day-labor workers The Annenberg Foundation concurrently has identified and will provide grants to nonprofits that focus on these populations.

The Elba Hope Foundation invests in actionable solutions focused on empowerment through education, economic opportunity, and entrepreneurship. We aim to offer alternatives to reliance on aid, emphasizing the creation of opportunities and the reshaping of narratives to unlock the potential for growth, social mobility and empowerment.

The Maui Strong Fund was created to provide community resilience with resources for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. The fund is currently being used to support communities affected by the wildfires on Maui.

In the wake of the tragic earthquake that affected Morocco on the evening of September, 8, 2023 we are launching a fundraising campaign in partnership with local entities, in order to help the victims rebuild and tackle mid to long term effects of this tragedy. Our focus starts with one village, Ouirgane, to have as much impact as possible, and we hope that with your solidarity we would be able to reach several others. Our first target is to fundraise $100,000. Who we are: Salim and Ismael have co-founded Onna, an AI company that delivers a product to the world’s largest companies like Apple, Meta, Netflix, Spotify, Airbnb, Nike and many more. We go beyond traditional charity by providing not only immediate relief through food support but also addressing the root causes of social disparities through educational opportunities, community development initiatives, and fostering empowerment.

We tackle this complex challenge by building our Foundation upon two main pillars: basic needs and community development. … 1) At the core of elevating underserved communities is ensuring that each individual has the basic needs of food, water, health, security, and economic stability available. We believe that every individual must have these needs met in order to have a prosperous life. Therefore, we partner with organizations that help solve these problems while working with local contacts in the community and in countries such as Tanzania and Zambia to do our part to help. 2) We're proud to assist in providing opportunities to those who don't have access to the tools necessary to move further in life. A huge part of this pillar is helping to provide education for all. To do this, we fund various scholarships to underserved individuals that allow them to take steps toward completing an education, both at the high school and collegiate level. Additionally, we have multiple programs which provide disadvantaged individuals with access to the tools needed to obtain a job or educational degree to break the ongoing cycle of poverty."

The Firework Foundation’s mission is to empower children from underserved communities by igniting their inner light through the arts.

Money raised through this fund will be split evenly between the Australian Red Cross and the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. The Australian Red Cross- Since July 2019, Red Cross teams have responded to 30 emergencies and supported well over 20,000 people, through the efforts of more than 1,600 volunteers and staff.
