Save the Bay™, and keep it saved, as defined by reaching a 70 on CBF's Health Index. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation's (CBF) mission, simply stated, is to Save the Bay and keep it saved. We define a Saved Bay as having a score of 70 (out of 100) on CBF's State of the Bay health index. Thanks largely to a dramatic reduction in the amount of pollution entering the system, at 70, the Chesapeake Bay and its tributary rivers will be highly productive and in good health as measured by established water-quality standards. The result will be clear water, free of impacts from toxic contaminants, and healthy oxygen levels, able to support living resources in all parts of the Bay.

The National Park Foundation, in partnership with the National Park Service, enriches America’s national parks and programs through private support, safeguarding our heritage and inspiring generations of national park enthusiasts. Founded in 2004, Quail Springs is a leading educational non-profit that resides on a 450-acre permaculture demonstration site on the traditional homelands of the Chumash people in Cuyama Valley, California. Quail Springs teaches strategies and techniques instrumental for designing and building resilient, affordable, and carbon-neutral housing as well as ecologically sound and sovereign food systems. Tri-Valley Conservancy’s mission is “to permanently protect the fertile soils, rangelands, open space and biological resources and to support a viable agricultural economy, in the Tri-Valley area.”

Dedicated to the preservation of New Jersey's wildlife and habitats through education, conservation and rehabilitation. How we achieve this... Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge sits on 171 wooded acres on the edge of the New Jersey Pinelands. The Refuge includes the Woodford Nature Center, an outdoor housing area with more than 50 native residents, and a wildlife rehabilitation hospital. The overall mission of the Refuge is to serve as a community resource on the importance of protecting and enhancing healthy ecosystems for all. To that end, Cedar Run engages in: ecologically based land management; the operation of a Federally and NJ State licensed hospital facility that cares for more than 7,500 injured, orphaned or displaced native wild animals each year; the education of over 20,000 students annually through our various on-site and outreach programs; and serves as an active resource to the greater New Jersey community on all wildlife and habitat related questions and issues.
