Giving Opportunity to Children GO Campaign identifies deserving Local Heroes throughout the world and partners with these grassroots organizations to provide children and young adults with critical services, resources and needed opportunities. We offer support and raise awareness about these small, highly-impactful organizations that might not otherwise come to your attention. Our partners develop programs to provide children and young adults with basic human needs such as shelter, food, clean water, education, medical care, vocational training, and income-generating activities.  We believe that providing today’s orphans and vulnerable children with these tools and opportunities to better their future is a critical part of the solution when it comes to fighting poverty.  History has shown that the most effective way to fight poverty and make a difference in the lives of children is through small grants to grassroots organizations – and that’s what GO Campaign does best. After vetting our partners to make sure they meet our grant-making criteria, the most important thing we do is LISTEN.  We never go into a community and tell them their school needs a library or their children need better food or cleaner water – we let them tell us what they need, and we listen as they explain what impact fulfilling that need will have.  We then brainstorm with them about the best way forward.  They know best the needs of their community and we want to help them achieve their dreams and goals.  That’s why the projects we support vary greatly – because the needs and priorities of children are different everywhere we GO. In addition to giving these children the opportunities they deserve, our mission is also to give our donors, people like you, the opportunity to connect and make a difference.  We give you the chance to donate to the project of your choice, to receive follow-up reports on progress, and even go and visit a project if you can.  You are part of the solution equation, and by cutting out the red tape and waste associated with many of the larger aid organizations, we present you with the opportunity to have lasting impact on children’s lives. Since 1974, Duke Ellington School of the Arts has provided equitable access to a life-changing arts education for the District's talented youth, regardless of background or ability to a pay. Ellington is the only DC public high school to offer a dual curriculum encompassing professional arts training and academic enrichment. It has a 4-star rating and is one of the highest ranked public high schools in DC with 97% of students graduating on-time and 95% of graduates enrolling in institutions of higher-learning, often receiving over $10 million in scholarships. Our students’ deep commitment to the arts empowers them to succeed academically. The Ellington Fund is a non-profit organization and the the charitable arm of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. The Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation (or Rush) was founded in 1995 by three brothers, media mogul Russell Simmons, artist and activist Danny Simmons and Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons of Run-DMC fame. Rush is dedicated to overcoming the barriers of access between disenfranchised communities and people of color and the diverse art and culture resources of New York City and its surrounding region. Our interrelated range of programs include free, hands-on arts education for underserved youth ages 2-20 in New York and New Jersey, both in our own spaces during out-of-school time and through weekly residencies in five partner public schools; the goal of these programs is deep learning grounded in art, to build resiliency, life skills and academic performance in at-risk youth. Our Gallery Program maintains two professional galleries, one in Manhattan and the other in Brooklyn, that provide career support, exhibition opportunities and residencies to emerging artists and curators, mostly those of color. Rush Education programs directly serve over 3,000 students annually, and the Rush Gallery program exhibits the work of over 100 artists every year, welcomes over 10,000 gallery visitors annually and serves as a classroom and inspiration source for our students.

The mission Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research is to encourage the development of more effective therapies for patients with Leukemia, Lymphoma, and related cancers.  We fund the best and brightest early career scientists who are searching for better treatments, preventions and cures for blood cancers. Gabrielle's Angel Foundation was created in memory of Gabrielle Rich who died at the age of 27 from leukemia. It was her wish and vision to create a foundation so that others would not suffer as she did.
