IsraAID's mission is to effectively support and meet the changing needs of populations as they move from crisis to reconstruction, rehabilitation, and eventually, to sustainable living. This commitment is expressed in emergency relief and sustainable development, with an emphasis on the transition between them.

The Kreisau-Initiative e.V. was founded 1989 to address the need for international understanding, democratic education, and active engagement in human rights, particularly in response to Europe's history of division, conflict, and authoritarianism. The Kreisau-Initiative is committed to promoting democracy, human rights, social inclusion, and sustainability through international educational programs and cross-cultural dialogue. Rooted in the legacy of the Kreisau Circle, a German resistance group against Nazism, its mission is to empower individuals - especially young people - to actively shape just, inclusive, and democratic societies. At its core, the Kreisau-Initiative responds to persistent social challenges such as discrimination, social exclusion, extremism, and a lack of opportunities for youth participation in shaping democratic, inclusive societies. Recognizing that many young people - especially those from marginalized backgrounds - face barriers to education, empowerment, and cross-cultural exchange, the organization promotes non-formal education as a tool for social change. Today, the need for fostering social cohesion, gender equality, human rights awareness, and sustainability remains as urgent as ever. The Kreisau-Initiative continues to address these challenges by creating spaces for learning, dialogue, and action, empowering individuals to become active, responsible members of a democratic and diverse Europe. The organization's priority objectives are: - To foster social cohesion by addressing discrimination, exclusion, and extremism. - To promote human rights education and critical engagement with history to strengthen democratic values. - To advance gender equality and support marginalized groups through empowerment and participation. - To encourage socio-ecological transformation, raising awareness of sustainable development and climate justice. - To provide spaces for intercultural exchange, enabling young people to develop skills in dialogue, cooperation, and civic responsibility. Through non-formal education, transnational partnerships, and youth-centered approaches, the Kreisau-Initiative equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to drive positive social change across Europe and beyond.

ELIL aims to ensure that every person on the Greek island of Lesvos who is seeking international protection is able to receive initial legal assistance, at no cost, from an independent European lawyer with experience in asylum law. We provide support in relation to the first instance asylum interview and/or family reunification applications under the Dublin Regulation, as appropriate.

Crossing Borders (CB) is a non-profit, non-partisan civil society organisation. The vision of CB is a world in peace with itself in which diversity is celebrated. The mission is to create dialogue space toward such a world and to build the capacity of youth, media workers and educators to realise the above vision. The overall goal is to enable people with different backgrounds to learn to live together on equal terms. Crossing Borders started as a project in 1999 in Denmark in support of meaningful dialogue between the conflict parties in the Middle East. In response to increased activities and demands for the CB concept and services, it was transformed, in 2004, into a dynamic organization with activities in Denmark and abroad.

Our Mission: Meerbusch hilft e.V. is a non-profit organization committed to supporting people in need throughout the city of Meerbusch, Germany. Since our founding in 2015, we have provided a wide range of services aimed at social support, integration, and the responsible use of resources. While our initial focus was on immediate assistance for the many refugees arriving at that time, we have since expanded our mission to promote long-term integration and provide sustainable, community-based aid. What We Do: We offer comprehensive support services for individuals and families in need, regardless of origin or background. Our key areas of focus include: Language Education: Free German language classes for refugees to improve communication and integration. Support for Children: Activities and learning support for children from low-income families. Community Engagement: Social programs such as the "Women's Cafe" and intercultural "Community Evenings" to foster dialogue and inclusion. Daily Life Assistance: Our main office serves as a contact point for practical help and advice related to bureaucracy, job search, internships, housing, and more. Food Distribution and Essential Services: Since 2017, we have operated the Meerbusch TAFEL - a food bank with three distribution centers in Buderich, Osterath, and Lank-Latum - currently supporting around 250 households (approximately 800 individuals). We maintain close contact with all refugee housing facilities in Meerbusch and even manage one accommodation site ourselves in Lank-Latum. Additional services include: A clothing depot for those in need of proper clothing A bike repair and donation service A cultural ticket program, offering access to cultural and sports events for people who otherwise could not afford them The "Meerbusch hilft Marktplatz", an online donation platform for household goods, furniture, and appliances Education and Digital Access: We have equipped students from low-income families with loaner laptops and tablets and expanded our homework and tutoring program. We also employ university students to provide tutoring, thereby supporting both the students in need and the tutors financially. Collaboration and Sustainability: We stand for a coordinated, sustainable, and cross-district culture of care. We actively collaborate with other local organizations such as Caritas, Diakonie, and Pappkarton, as well as with sports clubs and community groups across Meerbusch.

TanzZeit e.V. is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 by dancer and choreographer Livia Patrizi to promote contemporary dance in Berlin schools. As a founding member of the Bundesverband Tanz in Schulen+ e.V. TanzZeit is committed to anchoring the art of dance in the framework curriculum. Since 2010 TanzZeit has received regular funding from the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family and has become firmly established in the education system. TanzZeit receives considerable support from Wim Wenders, who has assumed patronage of the project. Since 2006 TanzZeit has been at home in Podewil and is a permanent cooperation partner of Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH. TanzZeit meanwhile unites five projects: DANCE IN SCHOOLS brings contemporary dance to the classroom and offers students a stage to perform at an annually dance festival. TanzZeit developed the digital toolbox CALYPSO, which provides practical materials for teaching dance in schools - in German and English. It is also the basis of further workshops for artists and teachers. On the stage of TANZKOMPLIZEN TanzZeit presents own dance productions for young audiences. TanzZeit also offers young people an artistic home for rehearsals and performances in the YOUTH COMPANY and hosts Crossover Dance Battles named CLUB OVAL.

How To Save Millions Of Lives With A Simple MP3 Player The solar-powered device developed by URIDU is used to provide health education to illiterate rural women in developing countries Every six seconds a child under five dies. Almost all of those deaths occur in developing countries - and most of them are entirely preventable. Millions of lives could be saved just by providing illiterate rural mothers with accessible health education. Unfortunately, bringing this knowledge to remote locations has so far been an enormous challenge for both governments and NGOs. A new project is tackling that problem with a groundbreaking solution based on solar-powered MP3 players. The so-called MP3forLife Player has been developed by URIDU (www.uridu.org), a German non-profit social enterprise. Each player contains more than 400 carefully selected answers to questions about health, nutrition, family planning, child care, work safety and many more topics. All texts are translated with the help of more than 10.000 volunteers from over 100 countries who participate in a unique crowdsourcing effort. Once the information has been translated it is recorded by a native speaker of the target language. Local NGOs are taking care of distributing MP3forLife Players free of charge to women in need. We conceived the MP3forLife Player for small group listening - it fosters discussion, exchange and group building", explains Felicitas Heyne, psychologist and founder of URIDU. We want to provide basic knowledge to illiterate rural women, but we also want to create a team spirit among them. They are key to positive change in their countries. Wherever women are empowered, a favorable spiral is set in motion. Health and education improve, populations stabilize, economies grow." The MP3forLife approach has been successfully implemented in Tanzania in co-ordination with the national Ministry for Health and Social Welfare. We empower children in vulnerable communities by fostering education. To accomplish this, we build long-lasting partnerships with local institutions and organisations, and provide them with books, educational materials, and support.

Taghyeer Organization/ We Love Reading Program is an innovative model that provides a practical, cost efficient, sustainable, grassroots approach empowering communities from low and mid income communities around the world to create changemakers through reading. WLR supports the activism of local volunteers to increase reading levels among children 2-10 by focusing on the readaloud experience to instill the love of reading for pleasure among children to become lifelong learners. We aim to create system change. We create changemakers by recruiting and training adults and youth from local communities to provide read-aloud sessions for local children in safe, public spaces. Each year, WLR volunteers read to tens of thousands of children in public parks, community centers, mosques and other faith-based settings, nurseries, refugee camps, and other locales. We serve diverse populations and communities irrespective of gender, religion, social status, disability, literacy level, educational experience, etc. The training is either implemented in face-to-face settings or via our online platform to allow reaching wider audience of people wanting to volunteer and become reading ambassadors.
