Discovering Justice is a civic education nonprofit that prepares young people to value the justice system, realize the power of their own voices, and embrace civic responsibility by connecting classrooms and courtrooms.

It is our mission to offer crisis intervention, supportive counseling and comprehensive referral services to surviving family members throughout Chicago following homicide; to work collaboratively to provide training in sensitive and effective communication with and treatment of victim’ families to law enforcement, court personnel, medical examiner’s office, emergency rooms and other systems related to the aftermath of homicide; to foster a community of survivors who may derive empathy, support, education and healing from one another, and contribute to anti-violence work through their collective voice and experience.

To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Pact is a different kind of adoption organization—honest, child-centered, and anti-racist. Since 1991, Pact’s mission has always been to serve adopted children of color. In every case, the child is always our primary client. In order to best serve children’s needs, we provide not only adoptive placement but lifelong education, support, and community. Our goal is for every child to feel wanted, honored and loved, a cherished member of their communities with proud connections to their cultural heritage. We advocate for honesty and authenticity in matters of race and adoption.

My Sistah Taught Me That is a program designed for the development, encouragement, inspiration and education of young girls with special focus on girls growing up in single parent homes without their father.

B.E.S.T. Youth help their Oak Park neighbors building empowerment skills today B.E.S.T. A subsidiary WM development. We believe one of the critical ways to stop violence and crime in our communities is by exposing underserved youth to activities, which bolster their job experience, give them a sense of self-worth and keep them off the streets. The Oak Park community that we serve is riddled with deprivation, crime and a sense of isolation. Our program recruits youth, ages twelve to eighteen, from the Oak Park area. Our program is a three-week, three-day-a week, summer youth development non-profit organization, paying the youth a $20.00 a-day stipend.

National Voices for Equality Education and Enlightenment's (NVEEE) mission is to prevent bullying, violence, and suicide among youth, families and communities through direct service, mentoring and prevention education.

V-ELMS' mission is to assess, evaluate and mentor underserved 8 to 18 year olds to achieve 'life-long goals' in their personal, educational and future career lives.

We conserve the environment through outreach, restoration, and education. Fishin’ Buddies! believes in the emotional and psychological restorative powers of the outdoors. We believe it is important to expose this philosophy to children who’s ideal of the “great outdoors” as being the grass-less, glass strewn, debris filled, concrete and steel playgrounds of urban America.

Based on the premise that the children we serve are inherently competent, capable, and strong, St. Mary’s Child Center: · Impacts pre-school children in poverty -- who are at life and learning risk -- with the highest quality cognitive, creative, social, physical, and emotional learning experiences that will transition into a foundation for lifelong success. · Integrates highly effective professional educators with a proven learning philosophy. · Uses qualitative measures to show impact. · Is accountable to the children and families served, stakeholders and contributors, and the early childhood learning community..

The Seany Foundation exists to improve the lives of children, teens and young adults affected by cancer through programs that bring hope and happiness to kids with cancer and their families.
