Ultimately, Amigos For Kids hopes to increase awareness about child abuse, and strengthen the community by helping to educate families and prevent the painful cycle of child abuse and neglect. Amigos For Kids Blue Ribbon Campaign - coordinates activities throughout April's National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Since April 2004, Amigos has spearheaded efforts in cooperation with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Rebeca Sosa, the Mayors of the City of Miami, Coral Gables, and Miami-Dade County, and other local community leaders and organizations to provide an informative series of events. Its purpose is to create awareness, through education and community involvement, and promote positive parenting as relates to the issues of child abuse. The organizaton's goal and vision is to promote its There's NO excuse for child abuse! campaign nationally in 2012.

The National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) / Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Association for Children, together with its state and local members, supports and promotes court appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children so that they can thrive in safe, permanent homes. Every year, over 600,000 children experience foster care and need a caring adult to speak up for their best interests. A CASA/GAL volunteer is that voice.
