THE CENTER OWNS AND OPERATES A 141 BED NURSING HOME THAT PROVIDES INPATIENT LONG-TERM CARE AND RECUPERATIVE SERVICES FOR ITS PATIENTS.

THE MISSION OF MOUNT PLEASANT HOME IS TO PROVIDE HOUSING AND SERVICE OPTIONS FOR ELDERS WITH EMPHASIS ON SERVING A DIVERSE POPULATION AND GIVING PRIORITY TO THOSE WITH LIMITED FINANCIAL RESOURCES AND INADEQUATE SUPPORT SYSTEMS.

Labouré College is the longest educator of nurses in Boston. They were founded by the Daughters of Charity, a Catholic order of nuns dedicated to caring for the sick and underserved with compassion. Over 125 years later, Labouré College carries on the Daughters’ mission with a strong commitment to educating diverse men and women who are called to a career in caring for others. Labouré’s mission is to provide high quality education to prepare women and men for careers in nursing and healthcare. They seek to provide opportunities to a diverse population of students to continue their education as mature adults and responsible citizens. The Parmenter Foundation provides hope and support for our community members who are grieving or in need of compassionate end-of-life care. We provide funding for nonprofit organizations that deliver high quality, innovative palliative care, and bereavement programs, and we offer educational and inspirational resources that help our neighbors navigate through the challenging grief process. LifePath, an Area Agency on Aging (AAA), is a private, non-profit corporation that develops, provides, and coordinates a range of services to support independent living. LifePath provides home and community programs for the area known as Franklin County, plus the four Worcester County towns of Athol, Petersham, Phillipston, and Royalston for elders, persons with disabilities, and caregivers as the Aging Services Access Point (ASAP) and AAA. LifePath also operates programs in Hampshire, Hampden, and Berkshire Counties.
