MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger is a national nonprofit organization working to end hunger among people of all faiths and backgrounds in the United States and Israel. MAZON began soliciting donations by encouraging American Jews to donate a portion of the cost of life-cycle celebrations (weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, anniversaries, and other joyous occasions), a modern interpretation of the ancient rabbinical tradition of not allowing a celebration to begin until the community’s poor and hungry were seated and fed. Rabbis at synagogues all across the country responded to our call to action and encouraged their congregants to support MAZON. To provide for people who are hungry while at the same time advocating for other ways to end hunger and its causes To educate and raise the consciousness of the Jewish community regarding its obligation to alleviate hunger and its causes; and  To make donating a portion of the cost of life cycle events (historically at least 3%) to MAZON a permanent tradition in Jewish life.

Founded in 1982 and a certified member of Feeding America, The Houston Food Bank's mission is to provide food for better lives. In the last fiscal year, which includes COVID-19 response, we provided access to 159 million nutritious meals in 18 counties in southeast Texas through our 1,600 community partners of food pantries, soup kitchens, social service providers and schools. Filling gaps on plates, we have a strong focus on healthy foods and fresh produce. In collaboration with our community, we advocate for policy change and racial equity, and promote dialogue on ways to increase access to food and to improve the lives of those in our communities, including services and connections to programs that address the root causes of hunger and are aimed at helping families achieve long-term stability: nutrition education, job training, health management, and help with securing state-funded assistance.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) is a consumer advocacy organization whose twin missions are to conduct innovative research and advocacy programs in health and nutrition, and to provide consumers with current, useful information about their health and well-being. In general, CSPI's three main goals are: To provide useful, objective information to the public and policymakers and to conduct research on food, alcohol, health, the environment, and other issues related to science and technology; To represent the citizen's interests before regulatory, judicial and legislative bodies on food, alcohol, health, the environment, and other issues; and To ensure that science and technology are used for the public good and to encourage scientists to engage in public-interest activities.

Meals on Wheels America is the leadership organization supporting the more than 5,000 community-based programs across the country that are dedicated to addressing senior isolation and hunger. This network serves virtually every community in America and, along with more than two million staff and volunteers, delivers the nutritious meals, friendly visits and safety checks that enable America’s seniors to live nourished lives with independence and dignity. By providing funding, leadership, education, research and advocacy support, Meals on Wheels America empowers its local member programs to strengthen their communities, one senior at a time. Our mission is to deliver hope to suffering children by equipping local churches for gospel-centered mercy ministry. Children's Hunger Fund is a publicly funded, non-profit organization, which exists to alleviate children's suffering. To accomplish this, CHF solicits donations of food, clothing, hygiene items, toys and medicines from U.S. companies. These products are delivered through a monitored food distribution network in cities and countries around the world. CHF relies heavily on monetary contributions from concerned citizens across America. We realize our donors have many options for their charitable giving and every effort is made to effectively utilize their investment. CHF remains one of the most cost-effective charities in the nation, less than one percent goes to cover overhead costs.

Bread for the World Institute provides nonpartisan policy research and analysis on hunger and strategies to end it. The Institute equips and educates opinion leaders, policy makers, and the public about hunger in the United States and around the world so we can see a world without hunger. Gifts to the Institute are tax-deductible.

CitiHope International is a humanitarian relief and development service agency that delivers tangible help in the form of medicine, medical supplies & equipment, food and educational training worldwide. CitiHope seeks to obtain the maximum strategic medical resources, at the minimum cost, in the shortest period of time, to give health and hope to the greatest number of people possible.

Matter is a non-profit organization that believes the simple act of being resourceful can change the world. By seeing a new purpose for what others cast-off, we are able to partner with service organizations to deliver opportunities to those living in scarcity. It’s our calling to create a world where we all matter. Since 2000 - when the organization began operating as "Hope for the City" - we have re-purposed valuable goods and distributed material resources to organizations serving those living in scarcity. Over the next 14 years, we have evolved to become an organization that has helped distribute more than $550 million in wholesale goods to people in need all over the world. And that was just the beginning. We have come to understand that, while the amount of goods donated is great, the number of lives impacted is something far greater and more important. Through the simple act of being resourceful, we are addressing the needs of people living in scarcity while creating a better world. Today, Hope for the City has grown to be called "Matter", a name that stands for not only what we distribute, but also a call to action for us all to matter more. Although our name has changed, we will always be an organization founded at the intersection of faith and opportunity.

The mission of Outreach is to provide safe water, food, medical care and education to children and those in need at home and abroad.

Food & Friends’ mission is to improve the lives and health of people with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses that limit their ability to provide nourishment for themselves by preparing and delivering specialized meals and groceries, providing nutritional counseling, and reducing social isolation.
