Since 1973, we have served more than 150,000 low-income immigrants throughout Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. Our expert and dedicated professionals help immigrants from anywhere in the world navigate the immigration and justice systems and access the social safety net. Ayuda’s comprehensive and welcoming approach breaks down barriers, helps those in need, and makes our communities stronger.

Casa de Esperanza mobilizes Latinas and Latin@ communities to end gender-based violence. We were founded in 1982 when a small group of Latina activists created an emergency shelter for Latinas who were denied domestic violence services from mainstream systems. For 38 years, we have served a highly marginalized population in culturally relevant ways that translate to greater safety, community connectedness, and self-sufficiency for Latin@s who experience domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking. Our work builds and leverages the communities’ strengths, cultural assets, and leadership to shift beliefs and behaviors within family and social networks, which we believe will create the conditions and solutions for thriving.

Preemptive Love Coalition provides lifesaving heart surgeries and emergency relief for displaced communities across Iraq.

Sisterhood Agenda is an award-winning, tax-exempt nonprofit organization that creates and implements activities for women and girls around the globe for education, support and empowerment. Sisterhood Agenda promotes positive social change and has over 6,000 global partners in 36 countries. Global partners create an extensive sisterhood network to increase local organization capacity and unite women and girls. Sisterhood Agenda's SEA (Sisterhood Empowerment Academy), based in the U.S. Virgin Islands, attracts international participants. On global and local levels, Sisterhood Agenda addresses social, health, economic and cultural issues facing women and girls to promote positive life outcomes. Sisterhood Agenda's social impact is expanded through partnerships with agencies, individuals and businesses throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, India, the Caribbean, United Kingdom, Africa, Australia, and other geographic regions. The mission of ALUT is to ensure the well-being, rehabilitation, economic security, and future of all people with autism living in Israel. Today, autism affects 1 in every 100 children born in Israel. Established in 1974, ALUT is Israel's only national resource for families with autistic children. Its 1400-person staff, and network of over 400 volunteers allows ALUT to offer a comprehensive array of services for children beginning at the age of 12-months through their lifespan.

Improve immigrant lives through English education and unite communities across cultures

The organization works to strengthen and support the Haitian community in Indiana by promoting social wellbeing, education and cultural awareness. It runs youth and language/education programs, community workshops and cultural events (for example Haitian Flag Day) to help Haitian residents integrate, access services, and preserve Haitian culture.
