The mission of Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) is to honor and empower wounded warriors. The organization's vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of injured service members in our nation’s history, by CONNECTING, SERVING, and EMPOWERING the wounded men and women who so bravely volunteered to serve our nation on or after the events of September 11, 2001. They CONNECT warriors, their families, and caregivers to peers, programs, and communities to ensure they have a readily available network of support. SERVE by providing free mental and physical health and wellness programs, career and benefits counseling, and by providing ongoing support for the most severely injured. And EMPOWER warriors to live life on their own terms, mentor fellow veterans and service members, and embody the WWP logo by carrying one another on a path toward recovery. Today, more than 110,000 wounded warriors and 26,000 family support members and caregivers are registered with WWP and have access to free programs and services that CONNECT, SERVE, and EMPOWER.

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people. The organization works to save young lives by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs on platforms where young people spend their time: a 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, and text. The organization also runs TrevorSpace, the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth, and operates innovative education, research, and advocacy programs.

We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Based in Phoenix, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® is one of the nation's leading charities, serving children in every community in the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam. With the help of generous donors and approximately 25,000 volunteers nationwide, the Make-A-Wish Foundation grants a wish every 38 minutes, on average. The Foundation's goal is to provide the ultimate environment for a child to become their best in all areas of their life, including academic, athletic, interpersonal skills, leadership, as a mentor, and someone willing to be mentored. They hope to arm children with a variety of ways to grow intellectually, spiritually, physically, and in their relationships with themselves and others. Their program is designed to go deeper into the subjects of life, excellence, and how to pursue happiness. In the end, our long-term goal is to help them become professionals in life, to find peace of mind, so they can share this wisdom with their families, friends, and communities as leaders and examples of extraordinary living and happiness.

A Precious Child assists children and families facing difficult life challenges such as abuse and neglect, crisis situations and poverty. We work with more than 400 agency partners throughout eight Denver Metro counties [Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson and Weld] to identify children and families in the most need of our services. Our core initiatives help build the whole child. In addition to meeting basic human needs through our Resource Center and Boutiques (satellite resource centers), we also help children and their families navigate community resources. This work is done through our COR (Child Outcomes Resource) Center where our Child Outcomes Advocates provide personalized case management to disadvantaged and displaced children and families, connecting them with needed resources, services, opportunities and educational support. Mercy Learning Center of Bridgeport, Inc. provides basic literacy and life skills training to low-income women using a holistic approach within a compassionate, supportive environment. We proudly welcome women of all backgrounds and circumstances to our center. Founded in 1987 by two educators who wanted to assist mothers of children in the local schools to help their children succeed, Mercy Learning Center (MLC) started as a one-on-one tutoring program. Today, MLC offers comprehensive full- and part-time literacy and life skills programs, an educational childcare program and ancillary services to over 500 women and 100 of their children each year. Having served more than 17,000 women and their children since its beginnings, MLC is helping to improve the quality of life for women and families throughout the Greater Bridgeport community.

The Family Place empowers victims of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling and skills that create independence while building community engagement and advocating for social change to stop family violence.

The mission of the Retreat is to provide safety, shelter and support for victims of domestic abuse and to break the cycle of family violence.
