After-School All-Stars (ASAS) provides comprehensive after-school programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and in life

Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes communities, individuals and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry. Poor nutrition can result in a weaker immune system, increased hospitalization, lower IQ, shorter attention spans, and lower academic achievement. 69% of children in America are on free or reduced meals at their schools. Blessings in a Backpack is designed to feed these kids on the weekends by sending them home on Fridays with backpacks filled with staples that require little to no preparation. Starting at just $100, Blessings in a Backpack can feed a child for an entire school year. Since 2009, Blessings in a Backpack has provided 23.5 million hunger-free weekends for more than 838,000 children nationwide.

Our mission is to educate and empower youth and young adults in the bicycle mechanic and specialty coffee service industries. Our vision is to see kids develop agency and flourish within positive relationships, healthy lifestyles, and skill development. Our goal is to combine industry leading programs and community networks to foster the next generation of riders, young professionals, and community leaders. Our why is that many of our youth face systemic challenges in moving forward toward dreams. By creating strategic partnerships and dynamic solutions barriers in the bike world and Native Reservation can be overcome. Since 2018 Silver Stallion has established or helped establish 14 middle school mountain bike P.E. programs in the region with Outride "Riding 4 Focus." Along with that effort the Stallion started the Gallup and Navajo-Diné Composite NICA middle and high school mountain bike teams Since 2019, in partnership and with continued support from Durango Devo, Silver Stallion established DEVO/CLUB Rides program with Gallup McKinley County Schools now taking place at 4 middle schools on the Navajo Nation (Thoreau, Crownpoint, Tohatchi, Navajo). During the Pandemic Silver Stallion established “Big Blue” Mobile Ride Center truck providing Free Bike Repair events, Park Tool School Education and Free Bikes 4 Kidz distribution in remote communities throughout the Navajo Nation. Silver Stallion is partnered with Project Bike Tech establishing and supporting high school mechanic programs throughout the region.

charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. We inspire giving and empower others to fundraise for sustainable water solutions. We use local partners on the ground to build and implement the projects. Then, we prove every single project funded, using GPS coordinates, photos and stories from the field. We have funded 91, 414 water projects, aimed to serve 14, 762, 215 people in 29 countries. We believe that sustainable work is locally-led. Along with implementing community-owned water projects, our local partners help facilitate comprehensive water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programming to protect everyone’s long-term health.

Mission: We are dedicated to providing supplemental food assistance to individual and families facing food insecurity while foster a community of support dignity and hope. The Carson Valley Community Food Closet is the primary provider of food assistance in Douglas County, we distribute over a million pounds of food annually in partnership with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada (FBNN). We serve the community through food distributions, offering groceries, fresh produce, meat, dairy, hygiene items, holiday assistance, and pet food, as available. ​

Since 1944, Heifer has helped transform more than 52 million households by working in partnership with the communities we serve. Our programs support entrepreneurs around the world, creating lasting change from the ground up. These families are able to earn a living income and continuously lift up their communities as they train the next generation of leaders. Our mission is to advance change in America by ensuring equitable access to nutritious food for all in partnership with food banks, policymakers, supporters, and the communities we serve. Through a network of more than 200 food banks, 21 statewide food bank associations, and over 60,000 partner agencies, food pantries and meal programs, we helped provide 6.6 billion meals to tens of millions of people in need last year. Feeding America also supports programs that prevent food waste and improve food security among the people we serve; brings attention to the social and systemic barriers that contribute to food insecurity in our nation; and advocates for legislation that protects people from going hungry.

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people. The organization works to save young lives by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs on platforms where young people spend their time: a 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, and text. The organization also runs TrevorSpace, the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth, and operates innovative education, research, and advocacy programs.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York and Western New York grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. As a chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, we are determined to fulfill the mission set at the national headquarters of the foundation in our locale.
