Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association (LISTA) is committed to supporting Latinos who work in the science, mathematics, information sciences, new media, telecommunications, and technology sector. Our mission is to educate, motivate and encourage the use of technology for the empowerment of the Latino community in order to conquer the digital divide. We do this by bringing various elements of technology under one central hub to provide our partners and members of the Latino community with the tools they need to succeed in a highly advanced and technological driven society. More specifically our organization: Builds and strengthens our stakeholder’s proficiency in the information technology, science and telecommunications sector. Facilitates our member’s business opportunities within all levels of the IT, IS, and telecommunications industry. Represents the interest of over 50,000,000 Hispanics across the country and their interest in the IT, IS, and Telecommunications industry. LISTA can help Latino information technology, information science, and telecommunications professionals succeed in the industry. LISTA provides professionals, executives, entrepreneurs and students with a pathway from the schoolroom to the boardroom through education, mentoring, business networking and services that enhances personal growth. The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center focuses scientific research at the nexus of food, energy and the environment to improve the productivity and sustainability of agriculture. We assemble interactive teams of scientists and develop unique platforms to discover underlying principles about how plants work. We then convert that knowledge into useful crops and products, and partner with organizations that are best positioned to solve problems where they exist around the world.

The mission of the Aerospace Museum of California is "To enhance the awareness of aerospace science through education: Explore-Experience-Engage!" The Museum’s education program is based on providing hands-on, practical educational experiences related to math, science, engineering and aviation studies for students from elementary to community college. The Museum captures the lure of flight by allowing visitors to experience aviation and aerospace history in an interactive setting. It is truly a place where imagination soars!

The Mission of the Nantucket Maria Mitchell Association is promotion of the legacy of Maria Mitchell and exploration, education and enjoyment of Nantucket’s land, waters and skies beyond. In fulfilling our mission we recognize the historic persona of Maria Mitchell, the foremost American woman scientist and educator of the 19th century, and her potential impact on contemporary thought by passing on her legacy of intellectual curiosity, respect for and love of nature, learning by doing, and the ideal of individualism. Maria Mitchell’s contributions to astronomy, science, and education are the basis for our continuing tradition of high quality research and teaching which inspires today’s learners and tomorrow’s scientists. The NMMA provides scientific resources and educational programs for the community, uses Nantucket Island as an exceptional natural laboratory in which to study science and the environment, and maintains research and/or representative collections of Nantucket’s biodiversity. We strive to delight our members, supporters, and visitors by providing high quality programs, services, and facilities. We strive to ensure our financial viability and the preservation of our buildings and important collections so that current and future generations can share in this legacy. We strive to collaborate with other institutions (both on- and off-island) to share relevant organizational assets to accomplish these objectives, obtain cost efficiencies, and reduce our impact on the environment.

Algalita's mission is to lead the world to a plastic pollution free future.\n\nFrom science to policy, technological innovations to changing throwaway culture, we believe it’s critical to pass along our complex understanding of the issue to the next generation of young leaders.

Multicultural Sonic Evolution (MuSE) was co-founded in 2007 and was incorporated as not-for-profit organization in 2009. It is co-directed by composer Yui Kitamura and percussionist Chihiro Shibayama with a simple objective: To better the world with the power of music. Through its annual programming, MuSE collaborates with artists from various disciplines and backgrounds in hopes of sharing classical and popular forms of music with the public. By drawing on their Juilliard School training and their personal experiences as musicians and educators, the founders of MuSE both support and advance the evolution of music-making in modern society.

The Foundation works closely with the National Biodiesel Board to address national issues affecting us all -- cleaner air, greater economic development for rural communities, and enhanced national security through energy independence. Organized in 1994, our mission is to accomplish outreach, education, research and demonstration activities for the advancement of biodiesel.

Brad and Vicki Margus founded the A-T Children's Project when two of their young sons were diagnosed with A-T in 1993. Ataxia-telangiectasia is a genetic disease that attacks in early childhood. It progressively affects coordination, predisposes children to lethal cancers, and severely compromises their immune systems. Children with A-T are usually unable to walk by the age of ten and rarely live beyond their teens. By supporting and coordinating aggressive research, we hope to give them a chance to live and to enjoy life's possibilities.

AWB's mission is to create novel international outreach programs that educate, inform and inspire. To do this, AWB offers programs that expands the minds of people of all ages, and opens up new worlds, and connects people around the globe from different cultures and societies, creating links between our wonderment of the Universe to the worlds of science, education, art and culture.

Girl Develop It (GDI) is a national 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides affordable and judgment-free opportunities for adult women interested in learning web and software development through accessible in-person classes. GDI helps women of diverse backgrounds achieve their technology goals and build confidence in their careers and their everyday lives.
