The Spartanburg Science Center inspires excitement for science through interactive exhibits, live animals and programs that excite, engage, and educate. Our small, hands-on science center offers guests of all ages more than 23 exhibits, live animal room featuring an assortment of reptiles, amphibians, and fish and a museum room with a collections of fossils, bones, skulls, rocks & minerals, and other educational displays.

APOPO's mission is to develop detection rats technology to provide solutions for global problems and inspire positive social change. APOPO's vision is to solve pressing humanitarian challenges with detection rats technology. Pathways to Safety International empowers victims of interpersonal & gender based violence abroad. Pathways undertakes the global challenge of assisting victims who are enduring extreme suffering in isolated situations where support seems minimal and many obstacles block the path to safety. Services are provided 24/7/365 via technology on a global scale to American victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and forced marriage. This is achieved via an international toll free crisis line, 833-SAFE-833, accessible from over 120 countries, serving a population estimated at 9 million American civilians living overseas, 80 million Americans traveling overseas, and the 450,000 American military personnel and their dependents.

Working with local grassroots charities and NGOs in 13 countries across the globe, the Global Vision International (GVI) Charitable Trust manages and raises funds for numerous long-term programs. These funds are used to support our local partners with the aims of alleviating poverty, illiteracy, environmental degradation and climate change. We do this through education, nutrition, conservation and capacity building. Our work focuses upon 3 key objectives: awareness, impact and empowerment. The aim is to create awareness of global issues, have a direct impact on those issues locally and empower our alumni, be they volunteers, donors, staff or community members, to continue impacting local issues on a global level.

We offer Central Americans hope and the opportunity to overcome poverty by promoting democracy and prosperity through community libraries that spark a spirit of discovery and foster citizen participation.

Global Diversity Foundation believes that our future depends on our respectful engagement with the vast biological and cultural diversity of Earth. We work to protect this diversity and enhance socioecological wellbeing. We carry out collaborative biocultural projects that build resilience, foster innovation and promote learning. Our work contributes to the growing global transition towards justice, respect and dignity for all beings.At the grassroots, through our regional programmes, we support communities as they improve their livelihoods while respecting environmental processes and make autonomous, informed decisions regarding their lands, resources and futures. At the global scale, we strengthen the knowledge, networking and communication skills of emerging environmental changemakers

Our mission is to develop and promote DAISY (Digital Accessible Information System) format in Taiwan to enable people with acquired visual disabilities equal access to information and knowledge. Our goals include to produce talking books in DAISY format, to train visually impaired people to access computers and internet with screen reader of NVDA (Non-Visual Desktop Access), and to provide people suffering from visual loss with vocational training and counseling.

Our mission is to fund SURF1 gene therapy research at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. The field of gene therapy has gone through remarkable breakthroughs these last few years and offers incredible promise for several rare genetic diseases such as SURF1 Leigh syndrome. We are fortunate to partner with the team at UTSW who have years of experience in this field and are at the forefront of gene therapy research. Our hope is that this research project will lead to an FDA approved clinical trial, which would be the first step in finding a cure for this devastating disease. ​

COI is a California 501c3 environmental non-profit reducing ocean plastic pollution through Research, Innovation, and Direct Action. Through our Environmental Pollution Assessment Program (EPAP), communities learn a simple process to track changes in local plastic pollution. This data serves as a benchmark to evaluate the impact of mitigation initiatives. Also, we're actively engaged in introducing affordable and customized Portable Plastic Waste Conversion (PPWC) systems as part of our global initiative to provide local communities with effective plastic recycling solutions. Our current project is setting up a demonstration PPWC system for Santa Cruz, CA to illustrate PPWC capabilities to Silicon Valley tech and philanthropic communities.

Our Mission: To conduct science for solutions at the nexus of climate, people and nature. We partner with leaders and communities for just, meaningful impact to address the climate crisis.
