The problem - The health of our biosphere – our life support system – is decreasing due to climate change and the needs associated with a growing human population. Our efforts are strategic - We address this global challenge by working locally with island peoples whose livelihood is most affected by sweeping ecological changes. Our projects are collaborative - We learn from individuals about their environment while empowering them to become active advocates, practitioners, and leaders in their communities.

The San Diego Air & Space Museum is unique to the Southern California region and serves the public through its mission to:Preserve…Inspire…Educate…Celebrate! Preserve significant artifacts of air and space history and technology. Inspire excellence in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The mission of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is to inspire people to live in harmony with the natural world by fostering love, appreciation, and understanding of the Sonoran Desert. The Museum is regularly listed as one of the top ten zoological parks in the world due to its unique approach in interpreting the complete natural history of a single region (in our case this is the Sonoran Desert and adjacent ecosystems). Not a “museum" in the usual sense, it is an unparalleled composite of plant, animal, and geologic collections with the goal of making the Sonoran Desert accessible, understandable, and valued.
