Michigan Abolitionist Project helps people to use their gifts and talents to prevent and end slavery in Michigan and beyond. They engage the community through their network of growing Community Groups throughout Michigan. At the heart of who they are, are stellar abolitionists. MAP volunteers are business owners, college students, pastors, artists, stay-at-home moms and dads, writers, teachers, lawyers, construction workers, hairdressers, medical professionals, social workers, marketing experts, computer techs, professors, and more! They are living proof that anyone can do something to prevent and help end slavery.

Provide a continuum of safe, confidential shelter options—from emergency shelter through transitional shelter.Provide a rich array of crisis intervention services, case management and emotional support to those we shelter as well as those who are waiting for shelter; helping them to rebuild their lives, free from fear.Address the many complexities and barriers associated with domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence and stalking on an individual level as well as a community systems level.Continue to reach out to survivors through individual advocacy, emergency case management and support groups after they leave shelter, offering an environment where survivors feel welcome and are encouraged to share their stories and their wisdom with others.

The Blue Ribbon Project is designed to be a community outreach in both the prevention of Child Abuse and a support network for abused and neglected children. At the Blue Ribbon Project, we understand that victims of child abuse carry a burden throughout their lives and the effects of abuse last a lifetime. That’s why we offer a variety of functional outreach programs that directly serve abused and neglected children in our community, youth in foster care, as well as adult survivors of abuse and neglect. Through our dedication to these children, we remain committed to achieving our vision of raising awareness around child abuse in our communities and acting as advocates for those affected by child abuse and neglect. Empowerhouse gives victims the time, space, and tools to heal their hearts, renew their spirits, restore their connections, and rebuild their lives. We break the cycle of domestic violence through shelter, housing, support, education, prevention, and intervention.Empowerhouse serves the Counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, Stafford and the City of Fredericksburg in Virginia.

Avalon Center works to end domestic and sexual violence by breaking the cycle of abuse through education, prevention, shelter and support services in the greater Williamsburg and Middle Peninsula communities.

Community Crisis Services offers non-judgmental crisis intervention and suicide prevention through outreach and 24-hour hotline services.

NWCAVE helps to inform, educate and prevent violence and exploitation against women and children nationally and internationally. Whether human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual violence, stalking, bullying, hate crimes and all other forms of violence and exploitation against women and children, NWCAVE strives to keep the public informed and educated on how we can live in a more civilized society free of violence. DOVE is a catalyst for social change fostering zero tolerance for interpersonal violence. We do this by providing individualized support to empower survivors and through cultivating focused prevention education that inspires community action. The San Diego Family Justice Center, the first center of its kind in the United States, provides help and hope to women, men and children who are victims of family violence and sex trafficking. Every day victims find safety, protection from their abuser, legal help, counseling, food, clothing, spiritual support, medical assistance, and so many other free services from the Center's professionals and volunteers. Our mission is to stop family violence and sex trafficking, make victims safer, hold batterers and traffickers accountable, and provide long-term support for victims and children through collaboration and coordinated services.

Valley Haven is a Non-Profit Emergency Children's Shelter, located in Harlingen, Texas, for the children that have been removed from their home by Child Protective Services due to abuse and neglect.Children ages 0-17 years of age, male and female, from not only our surrounding counties, but the state of Texas as well, will temporarily reside at Valley Haven until appropriate placement has been located.At Valley Haven, our goal is to stop the cycle of abuse so abused children can heal and not pass on to their children the abuse they received from their parents.By showing and teaching appropriate ways to trust and love each other, the children at Valley Haven will feel safe, begin to heal, and look at their future in a positive way. Our children deserve the chance to grow into loving, caring, and happy adults.Valley Haven's mission is to protect, guide, and nurture abused and neglected children by providing them a safe and loving home!
