At SWLC, we fight for equitable policies impacting women+ and their families. Our mission is to create the opportunity for all women+ to have complete control over their reproductive lives and realize their full economic potential by eliminating gender bias, discrimination, and harassment. Through direct outreach, research, advocacy, and counsel, we take a stand to end discrimination against women+, families, and underserved communities.

The mission of the ACCE Institute is to improve the lives of low income and working families in California by carrying out and supporting work that fosters community improvement and civic participation. The ACCE Institute conducts research on critical issues of concern to low- and moderate-income communities, educates the public and policy-makers about these issues, and provides capacity-building trainings to individuals and organizations. Additionally, the ACCE Institute works to increase the civic engagement of low–and – moderate income communities by helping local organizations develop non-partisan civic engagement efforts that encourage active public citizenship and voting in low and moderate-income communities.

The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) Inc., is a volunteer organization, inspired by Jewish values, that works through a program of research, education, advocacy and community service to improve the quality of life for women, children and families and strives to ensure individual rights and freedoms for all.

The mission of Women Against Abuse is to provide quality, compassionate, and nonjudgmental services in a manner that fosters self-respect and independence in persons experiencing intimate partner violence, and to lead the struggle to end domestic violence through advocacy and community education.

The goal of the Family Enhancement Center is to prevent child abuse and to promote healing among children who have experienced abuse.

The Arc of the Midlands promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.

UnidosUS (formerly NCLR)—the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States—works to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans. Through its network of nearly 300 affiliated community-based organizations, UnidosUS reaches millions of Hispanics each year in 41 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. To achieve its mission, UnidosUS conducts applied research, policy analysis, and advocacy, providing a Latino perspective in five key areas—assets/investments, civil rights/immigration, education, employment and economic status, and health. In addition, it provides capacity-building assistance to its Affiliates who work at the state and local level to advance opportunities for individuals and families.

California Greenworks Incorporated is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization formed to promote environmental protection, community revitalization and economic development throughout southern California urban communities. Through collaborative efforts with community groups and other non-profit organizations, California Greenworks establishes partnerships that are fundamental to effective development and successful implementation of locally-driven community programs and projects.

JWJEF is a national organization leading the fight for workers’ rights and an economy that benefits everyone. We are grounded in the belief that all workers should have collective bargaining rights, labor and employment protections, employment security, and a decent standard of living. 

The mission of Hope House is to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing safe refuge and supportive services that educate and empower those impacted by domestic violence. Hope House will advocate social change that protects and engenders a person’s right to live a life free of abuse.

Founded in 1976, House of Ruth empowers women, children, and families to rebuild their lives and heal from trauma, abuse, and houselessness. Through 14 programs in Washington, DC, we serve women, children, and families who are striving to overcome childhood trauma, domestic violence, homelessness, mental health disorders, and poverty.  Our continuum of services encompasses enriched housing for families and single women; trauma-informed childcare; and free counseling to empower anyone, regardless of gender, who is a survivor of trauma and abuse.
