The Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) litigates on behalf of death row prisoners, juveniles, people wrongly convicted or charged with violent crimes, poor people denied effective legal representation, and others whose trials are marked by racial bias or prosecutorial misconduct. EJI is committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the United States, to challenging racial and economic injustice, and to protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.

Dedicated to exonerating innocent people through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent wrongful convictions. The Innocent Project works to exonerate the innocent who have been wrongfully convicted, improve case law through targeted legal work, reform to prevent wrongful conviction, support exonerees as they rebuild their lives post-release, research and educate on legal and policy work, and build through alliances with other organizations.

The Legal Defense Fund (LDF) is America’s premier legal organization fighting for racial justice. Using the power of law, narrative, research, and people, the organization defends and advances the full dignity and citizenship of Black people in America. Through advocacy and litigation, LDF focuses on issues of education, voter protection, economic justice and criminal justice. Pursuing racial justice to move the U.S. toward a society that fulfills the promise of equality for all Americans.

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people. The organization works to save young lives by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs on platforms where young people spend their time: a 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, and text. The organization also runs TrevorSpace, the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth, and operates innovative education, research, and advocacy programs.

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, supports and research and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community of hope for all of those in need. Northwest Harvest is a food justice organization in Washington state. We build partnerships in communities across Washington to get food where it’s needed most. We provide an average of two million meals each month through our statewide network of more than 350 food banks, meal programs, schools, and community-based organizations. Part of a justice-centered movement, we advocate to change inequitable policies, practices, and institutions that perpetuate hunger and poverty. Together, we ensure communities across our state can access the nutritious food they want and need to thrive.

These kids are often hidden from view with little or no opportunity to meet people who might adopt or mentor them. Thanks to George and Kathryn Hicker every unrestricted gift – whether it’s a monthly sponsorship, tribute ad or straight donation will be matched up to $100,000. Kidsave advocates for permanent, safe and stable families for all children and gives kids growing up in foster care and orphanages summer or weekend visits with host families who get to know the child and team with Kidsave to help that child find a family. When people meet these remarkable children the vast majority of children are adopted or connected with a committed mentor.
