OCAPICA was established in 1997 with the mission to build a healthier and stronger community by enhancing the well-being of Asians and Pacific Islanders through inclusive partnerships in the areas of service, education, advocacy, organizing and research. The Center for Well-Being’s (CWB) mission is to improve the health and well-being of our community through evidence-based health practices and innovative programs that advance health equity for all. Our vision is to improve community health through inclusive and just policies, programs, and services. To achieve this, we offer specialty clinical services and community-based empowerment programs, and each year we serve over 25,000 individuals of all ages. Our clinical services include nutrition therapy and a cardiac rehabilitation center to help individuals achieve optimal health. At a community level, we promote whole-person wellness by engaging with residents and offering education, support, and access to resources to help them be well.

AWB's mission is to interrupt the devastating effects of trauma by reducing suffering and helping individuals and communities find greater balance and resiliency. We use community-style ear acupuncture as a powerful, simple, safe way of helping people "reset" their nervous systems to a greater state of calm, quiet and clarity. When a group experiences this relief from chaos, hope, determination and resiliency can begin to be restored, which allows communities to move forward.

The Galano Club, Inc. supports the Greater Atlanta LGBTQ+ and friends’ recovery community by providing a safe and welcoming meeting place for 12-Step fellowships.

Information, education, advocacy and awareness for people with cancer, family and friends interested in or using complementary, alternative (CAM), natural therapies, and more, from the patient perspective.

2-1-1 Broward's is a one-program multi-service agency that provides vital linkages between health and human service providers and the Broward community through the 2-1-1 general and specialty Helplines. It is 2-1-1 Broward's mission to provide 24-hour comprehensive Helpline and support services for individuals in our community seeking crisis/suicide intervention, and/or information and referrals for health and human services, community resource and disaster-related information in Broward.

Wigs for Kids provides hair replacement systems to children under the age of 18 who have lost their hair as a result of medical treatments, health conditions, or burn accidents. When children lose their hair, whether as a result of medical treatments, health conditions or burn accidents, they don't just suffer physically. The change in their appearance can drastically undermine their self-image and sabotage their self-esteem. To help heal the pain of these struggles, Certified Cosmetic Therapist Jeffrey Paul founded Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit organization that has been serving children suffering from hair loss since 1981. Wigs for Kids is a cooperative effort among Certified Cosmetic Therapists throughout North America who share a common goal. “Children shouldn’t have to worry about how they look, especially when they’re in the middle of a health crisis,” says Jeffrey Paul. “We want to give these kids the opportunity to feel good about themselves again.” The value of all children’s wigs Hair Replacements is $1,800. “These are custom-made Hair Replacements,” says Jeffrey Paul. “Each prosthesis is hand-tied and is made completely from human hair. We make sure they look just like a child’s own hair.” “They won’t come off on the baseball field or in the playground,” he adds. “Kids can count on them. And because kids look just the way they did before, they feel better about themselves. They look in the mirror and their eyes light up. To see that light in their eyes … that’s priceless.”

Accelerate improvements in state-wide health and well-being through food and nutrition

The CBCC Foundation for Community Wellness is an organization committed to addressing the financial, educational, and emotional needs of individuals in Kern County who have been diagnosed with cancer. Through the foundation, we promote cancer awareness and prevention to decrease incidence and increase survivorship through early detection. The resources provided by the CBCC Foundation are available to any cancer patient in Kern County regardless of treatment facility.
