BISM was founded in 1908 by the Maryland General Assembly, and supports the blind community by providing stable and rewarding career opportunities, innovative rehabilitation programs, economic and personal independence, and appropriate resources for training and education. Together, we are positively changing attitudes about blindness.

The National Gaucher Foundation (NGF) was established in 1984 as a non-profit, tax exempt organization dedicated to supporting and promoting research towards the cause, treatments and a cure for Gaucher Disease. Our mission has expanded to promote education and awareness, fund financial programs vital to the Gaucher community and to meet the ever-increasing needs of individuals with Gaucher disease and their families.

To provide specialized care, support and education for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments, their families, caregivers and the community through our adult day health and resource center.
