ESI uses less than 2% of its budget for management and operations. Outdoor Afro celebrates and inspires Black connections and leadership in nature. Our national not-for-profit organization reconnects Black people to our lands, water, and wildlife through outdoor education, recreation, and conservation. Some examples of Outdoor Afro’s year-round activities range from fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, gardening, skiing, and more.

The Bronze Chapter is dedicated to transforming the outdoor experience for communities of color in Washington State and beyond. We strive to make outdoor recreation and environmental awareness accessible, inclusive, and engaging for multi-ethnic and BIPOC families, youth, and adults. We strive to lower barriers that have historically limited participation in outdoor activities, offering thoughtfully curated safety, marine- and land-based experiential learning programs.
