Founded in 2013, Independence Gardens mission is to partner with schools in developing and implementing experiential outdoor, edible gardening programs that will provide every student an engaging, meaningful and transformative educational experience. This uninhibited learning will be accomplished through working partnerships with our community and schools, aiding in implementation of curriculum that address sustainable and ecological gardening practices, and provide an avenue for students to develop life skills in areas such as nutrition, leadership, and decision making.

Seattle Tilth inspires and educates people to garden organically, conserve natural resources and support local food systems in order to cultivate a healthy urban environment and community.

THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN IS A MUSEUM OF PLANTS AND A SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH CENTER DEVOTED TO THE STUDY OF PLANTS AND THEIR USES. POST protects and cares for open space, farms and parkland in and around Silicon Valley.

C-WIN is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to equitable and sustainable use of California's water resources. Both our Board and Staff members provide the environmental community support and leadership on enforcement of the state's Bay-Delta public trust responsibility, on stopping irrigation of naturally contaminated farm lands in the San Joaquin Valley, and on the speculative water practices of federal and state water projects in California. We educate the public about public trust resource and California's constitutional prohibition of waste and unreasonable use of water, and about alternatives that restore rivers, fisheries, and other public trust resources.

Mongabay.org’s mission is to raise awareness about social and environmental issues relating to tropical forests and other ecosystems, to wildlife, and to the important role that natural ecosystems play in maintaining critical services, including stabilizing the global climate system. To achieve this, Mongabay.org creates educational materials in several languages and provide opportunities for science journalists to report on environmental issues through well-established on-line platforms.

Seventh Generation Advisors puts into modern practice the ancient Native American philosophy that the decisions we make today should result in a sustainable world seven generations into the future. Ensuring that decisions being made about our energy, water, and natural resources are sustainable is central to this belief and to our mission.
