Today, in 1,000 cities, villages and neighborhoods in 65 countries, Green Maps are guiding millions to make climate-smart everyday decisions that promote the uniqueness of home and protect the species that share it with us. Working collaboratively since 1995, we expand the demand for healthier, more vibrant communities with our adaptable mapmaking tools and universal icons, multi-lingual participatory websites, workshops and regional hubs. Transforming local information into global interaction, our interactive Open Green Map platform invites the public to enhance the maps as well as explore them.

The mission of The Vital Ground Foundation is to protect and restore North America's grizzly bear populations by conserving wildlife habitat.

For over twenty-five years, our scientists have been investigating the complex connections that govern the natural world, and their objective findings lead to more effective policy decisions and increased environmental literacy. Today as society faces climate change, declining supplies of fresh water, urban sprawl, and other critical challenges, the Institute is one of the most influential ecological research organizations. Our mission is to keep the oceans wild to preserve fishing opportunities for the future. To do this, we bring conservation-minded fishermen and pro-fishing environmentalists together to promote a broad, ecosystems approach to fisheries management that reflects our expanding circle of concern for all marine life and the future of fishing. Our programs emphasize conserving the ocean’s top predators – the big billfish, swordfish, tunas and sharks that are the lions, tigers and wolves of the sea – while preserving healthy ocean food webs and critical habitats essential to the survival of all fish, marine mammals and seabirds.

By raising public awareness, advancing science-based solutions and mobilizing decision-makers around ocean conservation, we are leading voices for a healthy ocean. SeaWeb was founded to address the lack of public engagement on ocean issues, and works to reverse this trend by enabling key decision-makers to better understand the complexities of important marine environmental problems. In addition, our social marketing techniques enable the marine conservation community to effectively communicate sound solutions to these problems - another vital aspect of our unique approach to solving critical conservation questions.

Nearly three quarters of the earth is covered by ocean, and changes to the marine environment have a direct effect on the planet, the environment, and ultimately, our lives. Yet mankind continues to dump, pollute, overfish, and in a variety of other ways, contribute to the demise of the ocean and the lives of its inhabitants. The Center for Oceanic Awareness, Research, and Education seeks to enlighten people, young and old, to the plight of the oceans, to change the way they think and act, and to encourage them to create positive and lasting change.

Reef Relief is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to improving and protecting our coral reef ecosystem. We focus on rigorous science to educate the public & advocate policymakers to achieve conservation, protection, and restoration of coral reefs.

OpEPA USA, founded in 2006, is a sister organization of OpEPA Colombia founded in 1998. The organizations were created as a means to reconnect children and adults with nature and promote positive environmental actions in Colombia and Latin America. Colombia is one of the most biodiverse countries in the world. It has an incredible wealth of ecosystems, flora, fauna and cultural diversity. However, Colombia suffers from serious environmental degradation. Deforestation, high levels of urban waste, polluted water and reduced air quality are just four of a litany of similar issues. The environmental movement in Colombia has employed the range of conventional tactics to address these issues. Public awareness campaigns have dotted the airwaves, and legislative changes have improved the legal basis for pursuing polluters. But young people, "the next generation of consumers and decision makers," cannot be scolded or legislated into caring about the environment. To truly change the way they approach environmental issues, they must feel personally compelled to transform the status quo. This is what OpEPA targets to do.
