The purpose of the Michigan Nature Association is to acquire, protect, and maintain natural areas that contain examples of Michigan endangered and threatened flora, fauna, and other components of the natural environment, including habitat for fish, wildlife, and plants of the state of Michigan and to carry on a program of natural history study and conservation education.

Our mission is to conserve the gifts of nature, to restore and preserve historic landscapes of the commonwealth, to cultivate the knowledge and love of gardening, and to lead future generations to build on this heritage.

Founded in 2002, The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks is the official philanthropic partner for Florida’s four national parks: Everglades, Biscayne, and Dry Tortugas National Parks, as well as Big Cypress National Preserve. Our organization strives to instill in all people an appreciation of Florida’s public lands and natural resources for what they are – the key to the sustainability and prosperity of the state. Through five focused pillars of support – education, exploration, preservation & protection, restoration, and community engagement – The Alliance’s work enriches the park experience and creates deeper connections between diverse communities and the nature that abounds in their “backyards.”

We work with communities for a healthy Middle Fork Willamette Watershed through environmental education and habitat restoration.We acknowledge that our work in the Middle Fork Willamette Watershed spans Kalapuya, Molalla, Klamath and Tenino lands.

To keep all those in CT's Mystic River Watershed safe and flourishing during this period of intensifying climate change, we will improve equity and community resilience by expanding citizen participation in decision making and stewardship; improve the quality of water and habitats and nourish ecological health; inform and coordinate efforts to reduce risks from climate change impacts; advocate for climate-smart development and healthy, thriving communities; and promote youth well-being and school involvement through stewardship, citizen science and civic engagement.
