Yellowstone Academy’s vision is a Houston community where every child receives an education that cultivates their intellect, nourishes their spirit, and empowers them to create a fulfilling future. We believe that our community flourishes when we are able to realize the potential of all of our children. By providing an academically rigorous, faith-based education, Yellowstone Academy is answering the challenge of the education crisis that faces many students in Houston's historic 3rd Ward.

The Sherman Oaks Cooperative Preschool has been welcoming children and parents since 1955. We are a unique program that offers both indoor spaces and a large outdoor classroom. We provide a developmentally appropriate program that is supported by an emergent curriculum. Our daily routine fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, large/fine motor and language development of each child. We emphasize positive communication and the use of problem solving tools. Our goal is to build a foundation to support social and intellectual competence both at school and at home.

Since 1952, Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley has been here for the whole family. From answering questions, to providing specialized services, Easterseals is committed to helping people at every age. As one of the largest and most highly regarded outpatient pediatric rehabilitation service providers in the Midwest, Easterseals serves more than 3,200 infants, children and young adults with services that help them to achieve their goals and build a brighter future. Beehive’s education mission is three-fold: We seek to nurture the whole child. Beehive provides a variety of experiences to meet the intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of children. The program is designed to foster positive feelings towards school so that children will leave the program eager to continue learning in both formal and informal settings. Because parents attend Beehive with their children, parents demonstrate to their children the value they place on education and encourage a lifelong habit of learning. Beehive provides parents with opportunities to increase their knowledge about child development and improve their parenting skills. This is accomplished through making the books in our Parent Library available, scheduling parent meetings and guest speakers, and interacting frequently with other parents and Beehive staff.

The Childcare Network of Evanston’s mission is to empower children and families through access to quality early childhood education, family supports, and a coordinated system of care. CNE links children to early education and provides families with comprehensive supports and connections to community resources. Through collaboration with community partners, and supported by local, state and federal funding, CNE aims to create a community hub, a service model including education, wellness, mental health and other supports for underserved children and families in our area.
