Founded by Atlanta volunteers in 1888, the mission of Sheltering Arms Early Education & Family Centers is to empower families and strengthen communities by providing 1) high quality, affordable child care and  early education, 2) comprehensive support services for families, 3) professional development, and 4) community building partnerships.   Each day, 2500 children and their families are served in 16 neighborhood centers serving 6 metro Atlanta counties.  Sheltering Arms serves working families of all income levels by providing government child care subsidies and income-based scholarships generated by fundraising. Sheltering Arms, a United Way funded agency, has been nationally recognized for its success in preparing children for school success. 

Small Steps’ mission is to provide an exemplary early childhood program to instill and foster the social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth of economically at-risk children and their families.

The mission of Concord Children's Center is to cultivate an intimate, welcoming community where children develop respectful relationships and inquisitive minds, build confidence in their individual gifts, and are engaged, prepared and inspired to learn.

Our mission is to create a stimulating, nurturing environment where children can develop intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially while adults become better parents through education, observation, and community support. At Parents Nursery School (PNS), we believe that families thrive when children are given ample space to explore, pretend, and learn through play, and parents are actively involved in their child’s education. We also believe that parents become more effective and connected when given the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of early childhood development through parent education, informal observation, and community exchange. PNS provides an environment where families work together in the true cooperative spirit to create a positive learning environment for the children and the parents.

The purpose of the Rise Schools is to provide the highest quality of early childhood education services to children with Down syndrome or other developmental disabilities and to children without disabilities and prepare them to fully participate as they enter kindergarten.

The Foundation exist to promote and inspire reading and literacy, while honoring the legacy and memory of a teacher by the name of Joseph Riley Armstead, III, His passion for the success of children and reading is carried forward through book donations to children and scholarships offered in his name.

Seaside PPNS has served the Torrance community for forty two years, providing a safe, fun, educational environment for your child to learn and grow.

Our mission is to educate students for success in high school and beyond, and to encourage kindness, respect and integrity within a nurturing environment. Our exceptional faculty, and Waldorf accredited program help students discover, develop, and appreciate their unique talents. We achieve academic excellence by nurturing confidence, intellectual curiosity, and love of learning. We respect individuality, welcome diversity, and encourage service while preparing students to take their place in the world.
