The Council for Economic Education (CEE) is the leading organization in the United States that focuses on the economic and financial education of students from kindergarten through high school. For the past 60 years, of our mission has been to instill in young people the fourth “R”—a real-world understanding of economics and personal finance. We carry out our mission by providing professional development to teachers, teaching resources across the curriculum and nationally-normed assessment tools. We deliver our programs through in-person local workshops, partner organizations and online. It is only by acquiring economic and financial literacy that children can learn that there are better options for a life well lived, will be able to see opportunity on their horizon line and, ultimately, can grow into successful and productive adults capable of making informed and responsible decisions.

Founded in 1881, Spelman College is an outstanding historically Black college for women. Spelman promotes academic excellence in the liberal arts, and develops the intellectual, ethical, and leadership potential of its students. Expressed in its still-relevant motto Urbi et Orbi, the mission of LIU since 1926 has been to open the doors of the city and the world to men and women of all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds who wish to achieve the satisfaction of the educated life and to serve the public good. Generation after generation, the students who have enrolled at LIU Brooklyn have come from varied, primarily urban backgrounds. Like their predecessors, many of today's students are new to America and new to the English language or are the first in their families to seek a university education. At LIU Brooklyn, all students find an academic community where cultural, ethnic, religious, racial, sexual, and individual differences are respected and where commonalities are affirmed. This requires the Campus to be open and welcoming, even as it maintains respect for intellectual, cultural and academic traditions.

The Ekal Foundation's mission is to combat illiteracy and provide primary education for every child in every village in india. Also, Ekal works towards the social and economic development of the entire village through healthcare, livelihoods and civic empowerment programs.

Student Global Ambassador Program (SGAP Leaders) empowers underserved teens to become agents of change in their communities and beyond by thinking critically, applying STEM, and championing social justice. Our workshops challenge our teens from different schools, regions and countries to think critically around real issues that affect real lives; as a result they develop leadership and team building skills; and through the process, they gain a voice and feel empowered.

The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation keeps music alive in our schools by donating musical instruments to under-funded music programs, and vital support services to school districts nationwide, giving economically-disadvantaged youth access to the many benefits of music education, leading them to success in school, and inspiring creativity and expression through playing music.

Horizons for Homeless Children improves the lives of young homeless children in Massachusetts and helps their families to succeed by providing high quality early education, opportunities for play, and comprehensive family support services. To support our mission, we also advocate on behalf of young children, train educators and human services providers, and provide research on the impact of early education on homeless children.

The mission of the National Wildlife Federation is to inspire Americans to protect wildlife in a rapidly changing world.
