Tree Canada is a not-for-profit charitable organization established to encourage Canadians to plant and care for trees in urban and rural environments. A winner of the Canadian Environmental Award (2007), Tree Canada engages Canadian companies, government agencies and individuals to support the planting of trees, the greening of schoolyards, and other efforts to sensitize Canadians to the benefits of planting and maintaining trees. To date, more than 79 million trees have been planted, more than 530 schoolyards have been greened, and Tree Canada has organized 10 national urban forest conferences. Ecotrust Canada is an enterprising nonprofit whose purpose is to build the conservation economy. We work at the intersection of conservation and community economic development promoting innovation and providing services for communities, First Nations and enterprises to green and grow their local economies. Trees Ontario is a not-for-profit organization committed to the re-greening of Ontario through tree planting efforts on rural lands and in urban areas.

Our humanitarian and development organization offers basic health care to isolated African villages, participates in the fight against HIV/AIDS and other diseases, and contributes to the training of human resources both in Canada and in the host countries of Benin, Tanzania and Uganda.

The Canadian Congenital Heart Alliance (CCHA) is an organization made up of patients with a congenital heart defect, their friends, families, and the medical community. With your support, we aim to improve the quality of care for these patients, many of whom require lifelong expert care.

We provide free-of-charge opportunities to learn more about theatre creation from the best in the business. In our 13 seasons to date, we have supported the artistic work of nearly 1,000 individuals and launched over 100 professional careers.

With a solid building and additional collaborating partners who provide meals, clothing and basic school supplies, we at HES focus our energy and resources on teaching and learning. Through student and teacher sponsorships as well as limited unrestricted funds we provide basic schooling for 150 children from the poorest communities of Jacmel in Montessori kindergarten through grade six, allow teachers to pursue limited new learning opportunities, and support related community outreach programs. The Muslim Food Bank Society is a non-profit organization that aims to help those in need and to provide a path for our community to play a substantial role in aiding those who seek it. This is an organization in the community that has opened the doors for those in need to seek help, and to have a reliable support network.

CPAWS is Canada's pre-eminent, non-profit wilderness protection organization. With a network of 13 chapters, 20,000 members, over 50 staff and hundreds of committed volunteers, since 1963 CPAWS has helped to conserve over 400,000 square kilometers of Canada's most treasured wild places in parks and other protected areas- an area nearly seven times the size of Nova Scotia!

The Pacific Post Partum Support Society (PPPSS) offers support to women and their families who are experiencing postpartum depression and/or anxiety (PPD/A), as well as to women who are pregnant and experiencing emotional distress. The Society's support program is based on a self-help/mutual aid model. Trained group facilitators and telephone volunteers support mothers attending PPPSS groups throughout the Lower Mainland of BC, and during public phone hours staff provide helpful information and understanding support to callers (Tel. 604-255-7999). PPPSS also offers information nights for partners; interactive talks at mother and baby groups; workshops, lectures and training programs for interested groups and professionals; and free information in print. Publications for sale dealing with PPD/A include "A Self-Help Guide for Mothers", "Un guide pratique pour les méres", "A Reference Manual for Group Facilitators", and "A Reference Manual for Telephone Support Volunteers".

The Nature Trust of British Columbia is a leading land conservation organization based in BC. We acquire ecologically significant land through purchase, donation, covenant and lease. Then we care for this land in order to protect the natural diversity of wildlife and plants, and their critical habitats. Since 1971, The Nature Trust along with our partners has invested more than $70 million to secure over 69,000 hectares (170,000 acres) of land. This includes over 23,000 hectares (56,000 acres) that is owned, leased or covenanted and over 46,000 hectares (113,000 acres) that is under grazing licenses for our Biodiversity Ranches in the Okanagan.
