UAid Direct was originally founded as a volunteer group in April, 2022, with the belief that every act of kindness can create a ripple effect of hope and resilience. By providing financial assistance to the selfless, dedicated and unpaid volunteers on the ground with our sister organization, UAid Direct, we are able to assist them in providing immediate and effective humanitarian relief to the victims of the unprovoked conflict with russia. The Team at UAid Direct sources, receives, warehouses and transports essential supplies. These supplies are sourced as donations from a number of partners from all over the world. Thanks to these organizations, we receive a large amount of medical and hygienic supplies, as well as food and clothing, that we are able to deliver to those in severe need. Our goal is to make delivery via the fastest and safest route available into Ukraine within 72 hours of receiving an approved request.

Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre located in Mount Brydges, Ontario is actively involved in serving Canadians providing both wild animal care and public education. Over 850 animals and birds are admitted annually including Bald Eagles, Chimney Swifts, Eastern Fox Snakes and Peregrine Falcons all presently listed as an Animal of Special Concern as outlined by the Ministry of Natural Resources Species at Risk in Ontario (SARO) List. Salthaven is licensed by the Canadian Wildlife Service and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (OMNR). It is a challenge to meet the costs of food, housing, medical supplies and veterinary services each year. Efforts are ongoing to raise funds to accomodate over 4000 calls for help every year. Although licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, the centre relies on a team of 100 volunteers, donations and philanthropy to provide care for sick, injured or orphaned wildlife.

We provide school supplies, scholarships, solar lights (so kids can study at night), mosquito nets (to keep children safe from malaria), computer/vocational training etc. We additionally provide microfinance loans, orphan care, and disaster relief. This helps them become self-sufficient and rise above the poverty line. When individuals and families are strengthened, they can contribute towards community, national and international progress.
