The mission of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is to mobilize resources to fight hunger in our community.To fulfill our mission we: Source and acquire food and other products and distribute to people in need through charitable agencies or directly through programs; Energize the community to get involved and support hunger relief; Conduct hunger education and awareness campaigns and advocate for public policies that alleviate hunger.Our vision is that no one goes hungry in Los Angeles County. The Food Bank, founded in 1973, provides food and other products to people seeking food assistance throughout Los Angeles County. We also energize the community to get involved and support hunger relief through volunteerism, food and fund drives, financial and in-kind support. The Food Bank also conducts hunger education and awareness campaigns and advocates for public policies that alleviate hunger. With the help of 31,000 volunteers and financial supporters, the Food Bank distributed over 60 million pounds of food in 2011 including 14 million pounds of fresh produce. We serve over 1 million individuals throughout Los Angeles County each year. The Food Bank also has nutrition education classes for local schools. Additionally, we make every effort to educate the public about the problem of hunger.

The Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) is a non-political, non-profit organization dedicated to healing the wounds of war, occupation and poverty for children in the Middle East, regardless of their nationality, religion, race or gender.

Americares is one of the world’s leading nonprofit providers of donated medicine and medical supplies. For 45 years, we have met the health needs of our local partners and their communities. The mission of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is to provide impartial medical relief to the victims of war, disease, and natural or man-made disaster, without regard to race, religion, or political affiliation. A non-profit, self-governed, member-based organisation, MSF's global reach is demonstrated by a presence in over 72 countries and territories with medical humanitarian projects, 9,904,200 medical consultations conducted by humanitarian teams, and 877,300 patients admitted to MSF hospitals or clinics around the world.

Our mission is to advance change in America by ensuring equitable access to nutritious food for all in partnership with food banks, policymakers, supporters, and the communities we serve. Through a network of more than 200 food banks, 21 statewide food bank associations, and over 60,000 partner agencies, food pantries and meal programs, we helped provide 6.6 billion meals to tens of millions of people in need last year. Feeding America also supports programs that prevent food waste and improve food security among the people we serve; brings attention to the social and systemic barriers that contribute to food insecurity in our nation; and advocates for legislation that protects people from going hungry.

CARE is a leading humanitarian organization fighting global poverty. Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) acts as a first responder to vulnerable communities affected by disasters around the world. GEM is dedicated to restoring hope and opportunity in the lives of those most affected by disasters. The organization provides immediate relief, assists communities during the gap period before receiving assistance from other institutions, and engages in long-term recovery efforts with sustainable development practices. This three-phased approach allows GEM to provide individuals and families with the help they need when they need it most.

Airlink is a global humanitarian organization delivering critical aid to communities in crisis by providing airlift and logistical solutions to nonprofit partners, changing the way the humanitarian community responds to disasters around the world. Our funding comes from donations and in-kind awards from airlines, aviation sector businesses, foundations, and individuals. We build long-term relationships with airlines, who provide Airlink with access to airlift to harness the power and speed of aviation to deliver humanitarian aid and responders in the wake of natural or man-made disasters. Airlink ensures the right aid gets to communities in need at the right time.

Direct Relief improves the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergency situations by mobilizing and providing essential medical resources needed for their care. Direct Relief works in all 50 U.S. states and in more than 90 countries to expand access to medicine and healthcare by equipping doctors and nurses with lifesaving medical resources.
