As a national infrastructure organization for the nonprofit sector, the Japan NPO Center works to strengthen the social, political and economic support base for voluntary nonprofit organizations in Japan, and builds new and innovative forms of partnership with the government and the private sector, encouraging them to act as co-creators of robust civil society.

Since our establishment in 1984, SIBAT envisions a just and sovereign society that upholds genuine development through people-based science & technology. SIBAT commits to develop, promote and popularize the application of appropriate technologies towards attaining village-level sustainable development in poor communities. As such, SIBAT have gained significant breakthroughs in sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, genetic conservation and water systems development. By the end of 2022, SIBAT's goals are: 1. Self-reliant and resilient communities that have adopted appropriate technologies and can adapt to the effects of climate change. 2. Institutionalized structures and mechanisms that support the appropriate technology (AT) efforts of SIBAT and partner poor communities. The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM) is working toward a more effective and compassionate model of healthcare by training healthcare professionals to combine the precision of modern science with the wisdom of the world’s great healing traditions to help people heal themselves, their clients, families, and communities. The Center teaches scientifically-validated mind-body medicine techniques that enhance each person’s capacity for self-awareness and self-care to health professionals around the world, including those in traumatized communities in the greatest need. The Center believes that all of us have a great and largely untapped capacity to improve our own health and well-being through mind-body approaches (such as meditation, guided imagery and biofeedback) and self-expression (such as drawing and movement), as well as nutrition, exercise and group support. We offer 4 training programs where professionals learn these skills: Mind-Body Medicine, CancerGuides®, Food As Medicine and Global Trauma Relief.

FCI envisions a world where no woman suffers preventable pregnancy-related injury or death, where childbirth is safe for mothers and their babies, and where all people are able to enjoy their sexual and reproductive health and rights. FCI seeks to improve the health and well-being of women, girls, and newborns in the developing world by working to: - Make pregnancy and childbirth safer - Ensure universal access to reproductive health care and information - Empower women, young people, and communities

Books For Africa's vision is to end the book famine in Africa.  To accomplish that, the organization collects, sorts and ships donated textbooks, reference and general reading books to countries throughout Africa.

Every day nearly 7,000 men, women, and children are infected with HIV. IAVI's mission is to ensure the development of safe, effective, accessible, preventive HIV vaccines for use throughout the world. IAVI is a global not-for-profit, public-private partnership working to accelerate the development of a vaccine to prevent HIV infection and AIDS. IAVI supports a comprehensive approach to HIV and AIDS that balances the expansion and strengthening of existing HIV prevention and treatment programs with targeted investments in new AIDS prevention technologies. As the world's only organization focused solely on the development of an AIDS vaccine, IAVI also works to ensure a future vaccine will be accessible to all who need it.

The mission of UCP Wheels for Humanity is to provide increased self-sufficiency and mobility to persons with disabilities throughout the world without regard to political affiliation, religious belief, or ethnic identity.

Our mission is to facilitate the distribution of surplus medical resources where they are needed. As such, our programs have both a local and international focus. Goods are distributed in a non-discriminatory manner without regard to race, color, gender, religion, nationality or political beliefs. In pursuing the mission, the Board of Directors, volunteers, and staff seek t 1.      Relieve human suffering 2.      Demonstrate respect for all customers, clients, and patients 3.      Collaborate with community organizations collectively to provide services to those in need 4.      Maintain a proactive approach to improving services provided The key to WMR’s success throughout its history has been the recycling of usable medical equipment, supplies, instruments, and medications that have been collected from area physicians, hospitals, clinics, and individuals. WMR has the ability to utilize these items in our services and programs that help people all over the world.  Another crucial element of World Medical Relief is the help of volunteers. Volunteers can be found in all departments of the organization; in all over 1,700 annually.

Our mission is to save lives, reduce suffering and create resilience in communities prone to man-made or natural disastersFocus Humanitarian Assistance (FOCUS) is an International crisis response and disaster risk management agency. We provide emergency relief to communities suffering from natural disasters or man-made crises. FOCUS implements disaster risk reduction programs in areas vulnerable to natural hazards and engages in resettlement and reintegration programs for populations displaced by civil instability or conflict.
