GNBA is a Sister City International organization founded in 1992. Our mission is to foster friendship, cross-cultural understanding and mutual respect between the people of Greater Newburyport, Massachusetts and the people of Bura, Kenya.

To respond to emergency calls and to provide basic and advanced life support to residents of Schoharie and Wright counties.

EFAC provides an education-to-employment program for bright, disadvantaged Kenyan youth to foster leadership, economic opportunity and social progress.

The organization promotes awareness of the outdoors to inner-city children ages 13 - 19 through year-round activities such as snowboarding, indoor rock climbing, camping, hiking, and more. Using environmental awareness, writing, and the use of media tools that allow youth to document their outdoor experience to build confidence and facilitate individual discovery.

Let There Be Light International combats extreme poverty and global climate change by raising awareness about energy poverty and by donating safe solar lights to vulnerable off-grid communities in sub-Saharan Africa. LTBLI advocates for the incorporation of a pro-poor energy access perspective into ongoing, aligned programming.

Work Tirelessly to overcome extreme poverty in slums, through training and joint action of families and youth volunteers. Furthermore, to promote community development, denouncing the situation in which the most excluded communities live. And lastly, to advocate for social policies with other actors in society.

Scouting has an important role in the lives of today’s youth. Scouting promotes the importance of values such as integrity, honesty, responsibility, patriotism, courtesy, perseverance, cooperation, tolerance, teamwork, leadership and respect for community, nature and spirituality. In the 2008-2009 Scouting year, for the first time in a quarter of a century, membership in Scouting across Canada has increased. We are working hard so that more youth have the opportunity to benefit from a Scouting experience. As the organization grows, more and more youth in need of financial assistance are identified.

Love Without Boundaries provides hope and healing to vulnerable and orphaned children and their underserved communities by funding medical care (including surgeries), foster-care and family-reunification programs, education, nutrition, and emergency aid — working through local partners to deliver services where they’re needed most.

Sonoma Family Meal (SFM) is committed to strengthening our local food economy and nourishing our community in times of crisis and stability. At our community kitchen, we convert locally sourced ingredients and rescued perishables into meals for families and seniors experiencing food insecurity, while providing culinary career training and food-business support. During disasters, we proactively coordinate resources to provide quality emergency meals for those who have been impacted. SFM is recognized by The New York Times as part of a new model of disaster relief.

Try to imagine a young child growing up without a nurturing family. Imagine this same child as a teenager before his/her nineteenth birthday – how frightening the future must be for them. Realize that all government supports have been removed – the challenge of becoming a tenant, parent, neighbour and community member under these circumstances is daunting at the very least. Teaching lifeskills is the tenacious belief in assisting one young life at a time. It’s what every mom, dad, grandparent, aunt and uncle passes on to the children in their care. The Mission of the Fistula Foundation is to raise awareness of and funding for fistula treatment, prevention, and educational programs worldwide. We believe that no woman should have to suffer a life of shame and isolation for trying to bring a child into the world. We are dedicated to raising awareness of and funding for fistula repair, prevention, and educational programs worldwide to help eradicate fistula. The Fistula Foundation will adhere to the highest standards for solicitation, granting, and accountability of its funds. The Fistula Foundation will fund programs that have a financial need, demonstrate that the funds will be used responsibly, in a timely manner, have accurate financial statements, provide detailed grant applications, and produce reasonable and timely reporting which allows the Fistula Foundation to ensure it will meet its fiduciary duties.
