Voice of Witness is a non-profit organization that uses oral history to illuminate contemporary human rights crises in the U.S. and around the world. Founded by author Dave Eggers and physician/human rights scholar Lola Vollen, Voice of Witness publishes a book series that depicts human rights injustices through the stories of the men and women who experience them. The Voice of Witness Education Program brings these stories, and the issues they reflect, into high schools and impacted communities through oral history-based curricula and holistic educator support.

Our mission is to create media and cultural conditions that strengthen movements for racial justice, economic equity, and human rights.

Through the highest quality media production, Youth Radio equips the next generation with skills and support that lead to jobs and education. Partnering 14-24 year-olds with industry leaders, Youth Radio produces digital media and Peabody-award winning journalism that is distributed nationally. Through hands-on work experience, support services, and a creative outlet, Youth Radio prepares young people for employment and ultimately transforms lives.

The Sapling Foundation is an organization that owns the TED global conference. It was founded by Chris Anderson in 1996. The organization describes its purpose as follows.  The goal of the foundation is to foster the spread of great ideas. It aims to provide a platform for the world's smartest thinkers, greatest visionaries and most-inspiring teachers, so that millions of people can gain a better understanding of the biggest issues faced by the world, and a desire to help create a better future.

The mission of Southern California Public Radio (dba LAist) is to strengthen the civic and cultural bonds that unite Southern California's diverse communities by providing the highest quality news and information across multiple platforms. We are a public forum that engages its audiences in an ongoing dialogue and exploration of issues, events, and cultures in the region and in the world. We seek to provide greater understanding and new perspectives to the people of these communities and their leaders.

Skeptoid Media produces free educational materials and STEM-focused informational and entertainment content, made available to educators and individuals worldwide, concentrating on critical thinking and scientific skepticism. STEM literacy is important — Skeptoid Media believes it can also be fun.

The American Film Institute is America's promise to preserve the heritage of the motion picture, to honor the artists and their work and to educate the next generation of storytellers. As a nonprofit educational arts organization, AFI provides leadership in film and television and is dedicated to initiatives that engage the past, the present and the future of the moving image arts.

The Fred Rogers Company builds on our founder's legacy in educating and inspiring new generations of children and families. We work in a variety of media to help children develop social and emotional skills and to help them prepare for success in school and in life.   The Hamptons International Film Festival was founded to celebrate Independent film—long, short, fiction and documentary—and to introduce a unique and varied spectrum of international films and filmmakers to our audiences. The Honolulu Museum of Art is dedicated to the collection, preservation, interpretation, and teaching of the visual arts, and the presentation of exhibitions, films and videos, performing arts, and public programs specifically relevant to Hawai'i's ethnically diverse community.
