Prevention Institute was founded in 1997 to address complex health and social issues. We move beyond approaches that target individuals, one person at a time, to create systematic, comprehensive strategies that change the conditions that impact community health. The organization builds on the successes of a variety of fields and applies them to new challenges in fields such as injury and violence prevention, traffic safety, health disparities, nutrition and physical activity, and youth development.

Boasting a busy calendar of high-value events and a vast, seemingly bottomless toolbox for writers, the Foundation is unmatched in its mission to promote and preserve the craft, history, and voices of screen storytelling. A nonprofit entity, we’re proud of all we do for the community, including our Veterans Writing Project, our High School Screenwriting Workshops, our Archive, and the Shavelson-Webb Library – the world’s only library devoted entirely to writing for the screen.
Bedford TV (formerly known as BCAT) is a membership based, non-profit community access television station serving the town of Bedford. Our studio is centrally located at Old Town Hall on South Road. The Bedford TV mission is to make media available, reflective and responsive to the needs of our community.
Our mission at WCOM is to educate, inspire, and entertain the diverse populations of Carrboro, Chapel Hill and nearby areas. We cultivate local music and facilitate the exchange of cultural and intellectual ideas, with particular regard for those who are overlooked or under-represented by other media outlets. We provide a space for media access and education by providing equipment and training to our community.
Our mission is to connect the rich literary traditions and resources of Greater Boston, building relationships among its artists and authors, by empowering, enabling, and amplifying the voices of unheard and underserved populations through free collaborative workshops, public readings, literary journals, video publications, and public exhibits that showcase their work and encourage personal reflection and re-vision, by both author and audience, while sharing their stories with the world. Our workshops are intended to expand access to literary arts for everyone, including those marginalized, stigmatized, or isolated by the challenges of addiction recovery, disability, trauma, sickness, injury, poverty, and mental illness.

KTWJ is unique in the fact that we have opted for a traditional music format, our music broadcasts are designed to created a calming, relaxing atmosphere wherever you listen. KTWJ is a community supported ministry.
The mission of the Connecticut News Project (d/b/a The Connecticut Mirror) is to increase the level of civic engagement among the state’s residents so that they can more effectively participate in the development of public policy and hold public officials accountable for understanding and addressing the state’s needs. Successfully advancing this mission will result in more informed and politically engaged residents, greater transparency in policy-making, and a stronger democracy.
