DanceWorks Chicago is committed to build a foundation for the individual artistic growth of dancers and choreographers, providing a laboratory from which early career artists propel themselves and the art form to a new level through training, collaboration, mentorship, and performance. Our commitment is to “Community” not “Company,” the Participatory, rather than the Proprietary. And having chosen this route, we are building a more robust dance community. Led with integrity by Co-founder and Artistic Director Julie Nakagawa, DanceWorks Chicago fills a niche in the dance ecosystem investing in and shining a spotlight on the individual artists. Dancers are encouraged to explore their technical capability as well as their artistic curiosity in an individualized and deeply personal approach with the goal of nurturing passionate, articulate artists able to make meaningful contributions to the art form. Choreographically, we look to uncover new voices while also embracing opportunities to connect with more established choreographers providing mentorship and perspective for all involved. Welcoming the public to engage with the DanceWorks family to build context around the work of art is both our pleasure and our duty as a good dance citizen.

Dance in the Parks’ mission is to bring free, professional dance performances to new audiences in the most accessible venues in Chicago—neighborhood parks. We hope to expose audiences unfamiliar with dance to the art form as well as to local performers and choreographers in a relaxed, casual atmosphere in order to build future relationships with the greater Chicago dance community.

HUGE Improv Theater is an artist-led company dedicated to supporting the Twin Cities improv community through performance and education.

TO PROMOTE THE ART OF CINEMA, BY PROVIDING PUBLIC FILMS OF CULTURAL, SOCIAL AND/OR HISTORICAL INTEREST; TO SPONSOR THE DISCUSSION OF SUCH FILMS; TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR INDEPENDENT FILMMAKERS TO EXHIBIT THEIR WORKS; AND TO EXHIBIT AND SHOW FILMS

The band is supported by the city of Rockville, Maryland, through the Department of Recreation and Parks.

Through teaching dance we inspire students to reach their fullest potential. We provide professional productions and outreach programs to the greater community.

Wolfbane Productions is a company of passionate artists dedicated to providing unrestricted and approachable live entertainment experiences and cultural events to the greater Appomattox area. We strive to bridge the New York City and Central Virginia artistic and business communities through developing and producing unconventionally engaging theatrical works and cultivating creative educational programs.
