PROMOTION OF THE ARTS

The Duxbury Rural and Historical Society is a non-profit organization seeking to foster a better understanding of the heritage and rural environment of Duxbury, Massachusetts. The Society’s goals are to provide access to its buildings and lands, to provide educational programs for the community, to collect, preserve and exhibit artifacts relating to Duxbury’s history, to provide a library and archives for the encouragement of scholarly research, and to publish documents of historical interest.

The Fitchburg Art Museum is a catalyst for learning, creativity, and community building. We accomplish this mission with art historical collections and exhibitions, special exhibitions of contemporary New England art, education programs, public art projects, community partnerships, and creative economy initiatives

THE MISSION OF THE PROVIDENCE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM IS TO INSPIRE AND CELEBRATE LEARNING THROUGH ACTIVE PLAY AND EXPLORATION. THE MUSEUM WELCOMES CHILDREN AND ADULTS OF ALL AGES AND BACKGROUNDS AND FROM ALL COMMUNITIES ALTHOUGH ITS FOCUS IS ON SERVING THE YOUTH OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND, AGES 1 THROUGH 11, AND THE ADULTS WHO CARE FOR THEM.

Cooperative gallery exhibiting works by members as well as established & emerging artists from throughout southeastern New England since 1984. We are the longest running co-op gallery on Aquidneck Island.

Mystic Seaport's mission is to create a broad, public understanding of the relationship of America and the Sea. In order to accomplish this we: document, preserve, and stimulate scholarship in American maritime history and convey to a wide and diverse public the stories of America and the Sea through the Museum's collections, exhibitions, education programs, library, communications, products, and publications; collect and preserve representative examples of American maritime material culture emphasizing art, commerce, technology and science; collect and preserve examples of significant commercial and recreational watercraft related to America's maritime history, focusing on the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries; perpetuate skills associated with America's maritime past; and interpret representative elements of life in nineteenth-century New England maritime communities.

The mission of The Mark Twain House & Museum is to foster an appreciation of the legacy of Mark Twain as one of our nation's defining cultural figures, and of demonstrating the continuing relevance of his work, life, and times.From this house, Mark Twain changed the way the world sees America and the way Americans see themselves. We carry on his legacy.
