PUBLIC EDUCATION OF THE FIRE SERVICE AND RESCUE. TO MAINTAIN A MUSEUM AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE HISTORY OF FIREFIGHTING AND TO PROMOTE SAFETY.

To educate the public on the history of aviation and its impact on society. We seek to accomplish this by acquiring, restoring, displaying and telling stories about aircraft and aviation artifacts focusing on the people who made the stories.

FOR 117 YEARS, THE TOLEDO MUSEUM OF ART HAS OFFERED FREE ADMISSION TO ONE OF THE WORLD'S GREAT ART COLLECTIONS HOUSED IN ITS GREEK REVIVAL MAIN BUILDING AND THE GLASS PAVILION. THE MUSEUM HAS AN EXTENSIVE EDUCATION PROGRAM, OFFERING CURRICULUM-BASED SCHOOL TOURS AS WELL AS ADULT AND CHILDREN'S ART CLASSES.

In addition to the museum’s own artifacts, including military vehicles, aircraft, uniforms, insignia, and equipment from the American Revolution to present day, it also hosts traveling exhibits from the Smithsonian Institution and others.

RIMOSA's mission is to utilize Rhode Islands’ rich resources in the arts and sciences to create a distinctive, highly interactive, informal learning center. Our goal is to kindle curiosity, encourage experimentation, and improve understanding of the world around us by merging art and science to create innovative, interactive exhibits and programs. Our target age is 8 and up.
