The Maynard Institute for Journalism Education was founded four decades ago to promote diversity and antiracism in the news media through improved coverage, hiring and business practices. The Institute's programs have trained hundreds of American journalists and media managers of color. The Maynard Institute strives to ensure that all members of our community are fairly, credibly and accurately represented across the spectrum of all media platforms.

Arts Unlimited (AU) is a 501c (3) non-profit organization established in 2015. Arts Unlimited is a corps of business professionals committed to supporting the arts. OUR VISION is to connect the community through vibrant arts-related programming and to make a social impact by providing venues and opportunities via the arts, thus facilitating positive experiences for teaching, learning, exhibiting, and performing the arts. Arts Unlimited connects the community through the arts and empowers artists and businesses to inspire creativity.

The Washington Ornithological Society was chartered in 1988 to increase knowledge of the birds of Washington State and to enhance communication among all persons interested in those birds.

FG4K provides free guitars and lessons to students who might otherwise be unable to experience the joy and tangible benefits that owning a musical instrument provides.
