WRL operates a wildlife helpline in Northern Virginia and surrounding areas and provides advice and referrals to permitted wildlife rehabilitators to get animals the help they need for a second chance at life. WRL also educates the public about native wildlife and peaceful coexistence; thereby minimizing the need for rehabilitation efforts.
