California Animal Shelter Friends, Inc. is dedicated to providing veterinary care and foster care to animals who will otherwise be put to sleep in animal shelters. This includes puppies and kittens who are too young for adoption at the time they are abandoned at the shelter as well as those who are sick or injured and require medical care. We give them the medical care and time they need to become adoptable and then find them permanent homes.

The mission of Protectors of Animals, Inc. (POA) is to improve the lives of cats and dogs in its communities. Its objectives and goals are to: •Provide shelter and veterinary care to cats and dogs until they can be matched with responsible owners. •Reduce the number of stray animals in Connecticut through spaying/neutering programs. •Increase community awareness of the importance of spaying/neutering, as well as providing information about proper pet care throughout all stages of an animal's life - a critical component to ending animal overpopulation and homelessness. •Humanely reduce the populations of community and feral (unsocialized) cats through the strategy of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR).

City Wildlife was created to address the increasing conflict between wild animals and people in Washington, DC. Over the past several decades, local wildlife habitat has been severely depleted, and wild animals have had to adapt to living in close proximity with people. Each year hundreds of wild animals in DC are unintentionally harmed by people and the urban environment. Our mission is the protection of wildlife, and wildlife habitats, in the metro Washington DC region. Our goals are: To manage a rescue center to assist sick, orphaned, and injured wild animals and return the to the wild; To promote the enjoyment of native wildlife and harmonious co-existence with wild animals; and To protect the District of Columbia’s wild places for animal habitats.

Richland Area Rescue helps animals in need in the Richland County area of Wisconsin. They are an all-volunteer organization. They are funded by donations and adoption fees. They also are responsible for picking up stray or abandoned animals in the area.

Our goal is to rescue Bichons, Bichon Mixes and other small dogs from high euthanasia shelters, to provide them with medical services and place them into the care of loving guardians.
