Established in 1942, Guide Dogs for the Blind continues its dedication to quality student training services and extensive follow-up support for graduates. Our programs are made possible through the teamwork of staff, volunteers and generous donors. Services are provided to students from the United States and Canada at no cost to them.

We also offer human-animal support resources, low-cost veterinary services, animal control programs, and animal cruelty and humane law investigation throughout Berks County, Pennsylvania.

Our focus is on special needs and senior animals although we have animals of every age and ability here. We started our sanctuary in Cairo, GA in 2016 and moved to Hodges, South Carolina in early 2020 when we needed more land for our animals.
