Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries, a grassroots endeavor created in 2001, grew out of the need to influence local public attitude toward domestic animals and to find an alternative to the high euthanasia rate that currently existed in our area. We currently provide outreach education programs and networks for animal fostering and adoptions. Our vision is, through example, advocacy and outreach, to make a real difference in not only the animals we help but in future treatment and respect for all life, great and small. We opened our sanctuary in September, 2016 and focus primarily on stray and abandoned dogs and cats.
