The mission of Teacher's Pet is to empower at-risk youth to improve in the areas of empathy, patience, impulse control, perseverance and hope. Participants are paired with hard-to-adopt rescue dogs for positive, reward-based dog training to increase the dogs' chances of becoming adopted and remaining in their homes permanently.

"APET's mission is to reduce populations of unwanted dogs and cats in Wood County, Tx, and to diligently work toward the goal of reducing animal cruelty, including neglect and abandonment. APET provides an animal shelter for stray cats and dogs and reduces populations by spaying and neutering all animals prior to adoption. Also, APET recognizes the importance of public outreach and education programs to foster a public sentiment of responsible pet ownership. APET also seeks to expand its SPCA-type shelter to provide refuge and adoption options in the area for a multitude of homeless dogs and cats."

FPAC’s Mission StatementFarmington Pet Adoption Center is a limited access, no-kill shelter providing lifesaving care and treatment to abandoned and unwanted pets in Missouri’s Parkland. We find loving forever homes for every adoptable pet. In addition, we strive to reduce pet over-population, expose and assist in the prosecution of pet cruelty, and educate the public on responsible pet guardianship
