Our Mission
Hunger2Hope is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, located in DeSoto County, that exists to provide nutritional, emotional, and spiritual support to students whose families are facing hard times, in hopes to alleviate pressures for basic necessities and spark a curiosity for the hope and love of Christ while bridging the gap for local community to serve as One.

Each weekend during the school year, qualifying students in DeSoto County are given a backpack filled with food for each meal during the weekend and encouragement to keep them lifted up for the week to come. Not only do we feed them, we partner with these children in prayer and encouragement by special notes and small, extra items to let the child know that they are loved and valued by someone in our community that commits to do so for at least the entirety of one school year. We need schools, churches, businesses, and community organizations to offer to sponsor children spiritually and emotionally and in an anonymous and non-invasive way. This is the heart of what we do. We want to provide for the WHOLE CHILD while connecting OUR community. We invite businesses and organizations to get in on the excitement! When the community supports or participates in food drives with Hunger2Hope, it will take part in providing for the “whole child,” giving children a way to perform in their school setting and develop physically, mentally, and spiritually to retain a healthy lifestyle. When outside businesses or organizations support our charity, they will receive public recognition on our website during the months that they do sponsor our organization, social media posts, flyers, and on the Hunger2Hope website.
