Niswa

Our Mission

Niswa is committed to helping underserved Muslims and other minority communities by providing culturally and linguistically competent counseling, case management, referral, crisis intervention, domestic violence shelter, and preventative health education. Niswa serves clients nationwide. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families in need.

Niswa, which means “Women in gathering” in Arabic, was established in 1990 by a group of South Asian women to provide resources and support for the increased needs of Muslim families, especially women, in Southern California.
