Sewa-AIFW (Asian Indian Family Wellness), founded in 2004, is a 501c3 non-profit serving the underserved vulnerable population of South Asian Immigrants and refugees from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Gayana, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Trinidad, Tibet, and the Carribean Diaspora in a culturally specific way for "Total family wellness". We serve and promote “Total Family Wellness” for Asian-Indians in Minnesota by
- Addressing immediate needs of families in crisis. - Providing outreach services to under-served communities. - Promoting research to determine the services needed and to build bridges between the government, private foundations, and communities. - Creating a group of trained volunteers sensitive to the ethnic and cultural needs of the Asian-Indian community.
