KNE Sustainability Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting global sustainable thinking and action. Our goal is to accelerate the dissemination of sustainability knowledge through modern media and e-learning. We are funded through partnerships, grants, and collaborations with organizations committed to sustainability and regeneration. Our key initiatives include the Global Goals Compass, a tool that provides guidance on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and ReGen.rocks, an interactive social learning platform designed to educate young people on sustainability, connect them in a social network and match them with regenerative projects. Additionally, we connect researchers in the field of sustainable development, create innovative e-learning programs, and support companies and organizations in effectively implementing sustainability and regeneration strategies. SSPP's mission is to empower marginalised groups to create resilient structures for socio-economic development by providing -access to clean water -hygiene education and -sexual reproductive health solutions.

Empowering marginalised youths and mothers in rural areas with practical skills for self reliance in a bid to improve livelihoods.

Heifer is on a mission to end hunger and poverty in a sustainable way by investing in agriculture and supporting small-scale farmers to earn a sustainable living income and better integrate rural women, youth and indigenous populations into more inclusive value chains. To achieve our goals, we operate in the mentioned 19 countries across four continents through locally staffed and led offices. HNL is part of the global Heifer International network and operates as Heifer's gateway to Europe. HNL focusses on building partnerships and raising funds from European donors to support local initiatives, such as this proposed project in Bangladesh. While the local Heifer team in Bangladesh manages project design and implementation, HNL is responsible for mobilizing and securing funding partners and managing donor relationships after a grant has been approved. As such, HNL also oversees coordination with donors' grant preferences. Grants and donations that HNL receives for specific projects such as this one, are transferred one-on-one to the relevant Heifer office in the country of project implementation, in this case Bangladesh. Empowering women is one of the cornerstones in Heifer's approach. Since 1999 HNL has raised funds that supported 109266 female farmers. In FY 2024, HNL has supported 15568 female farmers. Heifer started working in Bangladesh in 2006, and to date have supported more than 139000 families across 6 districts in the northern part of the country.

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) - translated as Doctors Without Borders is an international medical humanitarian organisation founded by doctors and journalists in 1971 in Paris. Our teams are made up of tens of thousands of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff - bound together by our charter. We are a global movement, with staff from over 160 countries. MSF provides medical relief to the victims of war, disease and natural or man-made disaster, without regard to race, religion, or political affiliation. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality. We are a non-profit, self-governed, member-based organisation. The association's independence is guaranteed by the fact that it is funded 99% privately, mainly by individual donors and companies. MSF is an international movement of associations organised in 23 sections and 6 operational centers. The executive entities (sections and delegated offices) are linked to one of MSF's operational centers: Amsterdam (OCA), Barcelona-Athens (OCBA), Brussels (OCB), Geneva (OCG) and Paris (OCP). Operations are run from these centers. Each operational center has its own patterning with its partner sections. Since 2019, an association has been added to the list of entities that can lead operations: WaCA (West and Central Africa). 91.2% of our expenses are directly allocated to the social mission, with only 8.4% of operating & fundraising expenses. MSF makes financial transparency and rigorous management of its accounts a priority. The 3 audits of the Cour des Comptes (The French Court of Auditors) in 1998, 2004 and 2010 resulted in particularly commendable reports. Logistical strength: MSF Logistique (located in Merignac, France), is a dedicated entity created in 1986. The Merignac base is one of the world's largest centres for the transport of humanitarian supplies, with 18,500 m of storage space. It allows us to be very responsive in our operations, with the possibility of sending more than 100 tons of emergency supplies in 24 hours. Driving change: new approaches for greater impact. Throughout its history, MSF has sought to create dynamics for change and to benefit the populations it serves.

How To Save Millions Of Lives With A Simple MP3 Player The solar-powered device developed by URIDU is used to provide health education to illiterate rural women in developing countries Every six seconds a child under five dies. Almost all of those deaths occur in developing countries - and most of them are entirely preventable. Millions of lives could be saved just by providing illiterate rural mothers with accessible health education. Unfortunately, bringing this knowledge to remote locations has so far been an enormous challenge for both governments and NGOs. A new project is tackling that problem with a groundbreaking solution based on solar-powered MP3 players. The so-called MP3forLife Player has been developed by URIDU (www.uridu.org), a German non-profit social enterprise. Each player contains more than 400 carefully selected answers to questions about health, nutrition, family planning, child care, work safety and many more topics. All texts are translated with the help of more than 10.000 volunteers from over 100 countries who participate in a unique crowdsourcing effort. Once the information has been translated it is recorded by a native speaker of the target language. Local NGOs are taking care of distributing MP3forLife Players free of charge to women in need. We conceived the MP3forLife Player for small group listening - it fosters discussion, exchange and group building", explains Felicitas Heyne, psychologist and founder of URIDU. We want to provide basic knowledge to illiterate rural women, but we also want to create a team spirit among them. They are key to positive change in their countries. Wherever women are empowered, a favorable spiral is set in motion. Health and education improve, populations stabilize, economies grow." The MP3forLife approach has been successfully implemented in Tanzania in co-ordination with the national Ministry for Health and Social Welfare. Worldwide, around 60 million children have no access to primary education and roughly 387 million children are unable to acquire basic skills, despite attending school (Global Education Monitoring Report, UNESCO, 2017). It is our vision to create a world in which every child can read and write. Since 2006, Visions for Children e.V. has been committed to ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to obtain a basic education with which they can acquire basic skills. We particularly build on and contribute to the fourth sustainability goal of the United Nations' Agenda 2030 - namely to ensure an equitable and high-quality education.
