EHEES, Elephant Haven, European elephant sanctuary, is a sanctuary/retirement home for elephants from European zoos and circuses, which answers a legal need and requests from private owners. EHEES is a care center which offers the elephants a place for life and where their natural needs are respected and their diet is appropriate. It enables them to be re-socialized and rehabilitated in a protected environment. This is the true story of Gandhi and Delhi, Asian elephants, our two first retired residents in EHEES, the only elephant sanctuary in Europe. Indeed, in recent years, it has become both appropriate and necessary to create elephant placement centers in Europe. Private elephant owners, animal parks, zoos and other organizations may need a place for their elephant(s) to live. Almost all European countries ban wild animals from circuses, including France, where EHEES is situated. Bringing them back to their country of origin is not always possible. There was no place for housing the elephants in Europe. Retired elephants from zoos and circuses, like Gandhi and Delhi, our 2 first residents, have now a place for life. They, and the future other residents of Elephant Haven, need a lot of attention. Elephant Haven is expanding to be able to offer more elephants a place for life. Informative programmes about elephants and their behavior, in captivity and in the wild, will be organized to have a better understanding of elephants, as well as local fauna and flora. All this encourages a re-connection with nature and with all her creatures, to raise awareness and respect for the environment.

Rise Against Hunger is an ever-growing global movement with the goal of ending world hunger and poverty by empowering communities and responding quickly to emergencies.

Since 2015, Konnekt Association has been supporting young people - high school and university students - in their conscious journey of self-discovery. Our goal is to help the growing generation develop sufficient self-awareness and adapt to the dynamic changes of the labor market, so they can find their place and live a fulfilled and content life as adults. In addition to helping young people with career orientation, we also support adults in career changes, where self-awareness development, change management, and future planning are key elements. Our projects emphasize the inclusion of disadvantaged youth in our programs and voluntary work. The work of our association and all our programs are based on learning from each other, intergenerational inspiration, and personal connections. We believe in the importance of community and offline experiences, while also integrating the development of 21st-century competencies into our practices. Our mission is to reduce the number of young people who abandon their careers or are dissatisfied with them, contributing to a society built by ambitious adults who are stable in their values and self-awareness. To date, we have helped more than 6,500 young people find their path, both within and beyond Hungary's borders. We are proud to have worked with over 1,200 volunteers since our foundation.

The organisation reflects its members' shared concern for the future of humanity and the planet. The association sees its task as acting as an independent, global catalyst for change. The objectives of the Association are therefore: to identify the key issues that are critical to the future of humanity; to evaluate alternative scenarios for the future and assess risks, choices and opportunities through integrated and forward-looking analyses; to develop and propose practical solutions to the identified challenges; to communicate new insights and knowledge from these analyses to decision-makers in the public and private sectors, as well as to the wider public; to stimulate public debate and effective action to improve the prospects for the future of humanity and the planet. The Association's activities are guided by the following three complementary principles: 1. the need to adopt a global, systems-oriented perspective in analysing the problems facing the modern world, recognising that the increasing interdependence of nations and the globalisation of previously local problems create challenges that are beyond the capacity of individual countries. 2. the need for a comprehensive, holistic approach in order to gain a deeper understanding of the complexity and interconnectedness of both current problems and practical solutions, in political, social, economic, technological, environmental, psychological and cultural terms, which the association refers to as the 'world problematique'. 3. the need to emphasise transdisciplinary and long-term perspectives, which are all too often neglected by governments and other decision-makers, and to focus on those decisions, strategies and measures that will determine the fate of present and future generations. The aim is to arouse public interest and provide responsible decision-makers with a solid basis for formulating and implementing future-oriented measures. The association does not pursue any commercial purposes and does not seek to make a profit.

Every day, lives are changed by a single, selfless act - the gift of organ donation. Among those waiting for transplants are 2 groups of people: those who die waiting and those who receive the gift of life. Our work raises awareness of the urgent need for organ and tissue donors while helping recipients who have overcome the impossible to live life to the fullest. These individuals have faced life's greatest challenges; they are advocates for the cause but need resources, education and community. Transplant recipients have a unique opportunity to advocate for organ donation and raise awareness. Physical activity plays a crucial role in the recovery and long-term health of recipients. When recipients compete in world events, they demonstrate to the world what can be achieved through the gift of organ donation. Additionally, our programs provide recipients with community, tools, and resources to address the many challenges they face, leading to an increased quality of life. The WTGF promotes amateur sport amongst recipients, living donors and donor families; promoting the study of transplantation; educating the public and raising awareness of the world shortage of donor organs; sharing new knowledge from biological/clinical studies; promotion of mental and moral improvement for recipients, living donors and donor families; fostering international friendship and relations.

Our mission is simple yet profound: to accompany, serve, and advocate for refugees, asylum seekers, and forcibly displaced persons, ensuring that they are not only protected but also given the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. Since 2000, we have been present in Romania, working side by side with those who have lost everything. We are not just an organization that provides services-we are a community of solidarity, compassion, and action. Our commitment is deeply rooted in the Jesuit tradition of walking alongside the most vulnerable, ensuring that no one is left behind. For us, accompaniment is more than just a word-it's a way of being. When a refugee arrives in Romania, they often face uncertainty, fear, and immense challenges. From the very first moment, we are there. We listen to their stories, we understand their struggles, and we stand with them as they take their first steps toward a new life. Whether it's helping them find a safe place to stay, navigating the asylum system and integration system, or simply offering a warm conversation over a cup of tea, we ensure that no one faces their journey alone. But accompaniment alone is not enough. We are also called to serve-not as distant providers of aid, but as partners in the process of rebuilding lives. Every day, we provide: *Housing and material support-because no one should have to sleep on the streets after fleeing war and persecution. *Legal and social counseling-because navigating a new country's laws and systems can be overwhelming. *Education and vocational training-because refugees deserve a chance to learn, grow, and contribute to their new communities. *Psychosocial support and well-being programs-because healing takes time, and no one should have to bear the burden of trauma alone. Yet, service without justice is incomplete. This is why advocacy is at the heart of what we do. We work tirelessly to ensure that refugees' voices are heard, that their rights are respected, and that the policies shaping their futures are fair and humane. We engage with government institutions, collaborate with international organizations, and challenge harmful narratives that fuel xenophobia and exclusion. Every day, we fight for a Romania that is more welcoming, more just, and more inclusive. Over time, we have advocated for the rights of individuals with tolerated status, ensuring their access to various fundamental rights. Additionally, we have contributed to the revision and improvement of legislation on asylum, foreign nationals, social rights, and employment. Furthermore, we have actively collaborated with other NGOs in advocacy initiatives and campaigns to promote these essential changes. Our vision is a Romania where refugees are not just tolerated but truly welcomed, protected, and empowered. A society where a Syrian family can find safety and start anew without fear. Where a Ukrainian mother can enroll her children in school without barriers. Where an Afghan student can dream of becoming a doctor and make that dream a reality. We dream of a future where refugees are seen not as "others" but as neighbors, colleagues, friends, and fellow citizens. Where diversity is celebrated, not feared. Where every person, regardless of their origin, is given the opportunity to live with dignity and contribute to the common good. At JRS Romania, we do not work for refugees-we work with them and a true example is that JRS Romania has hired more then 100 Ukrainians and other refuges (Syrian and Rwanda). Their resilience inspires us, their struggles push us forward, and their successes remind us why we do what we do.

Zero Waste Europe (ZWE) is the European network of communities, local leaders, experts, and change agents working towards a better use of resources and the elimination of waste in our society. We advocate for sustainable systems; for the redesign of our relationship with resources; and for a global shift towards environmental justice, accelerating a just transition towards zero waste for the benefit of people and the planet

LaPrimulBebe provides informational and emotional support to pregnant women and mothers in Romania. This support is offered through online communities, humanitarian campaigns, and parenting education events, courses, and programs. LaPrimulBebe is the only Romanian community awarded by Facebook USA, being named one of the top 100 most impactful online communities in the world. The Facebook Community Leadership Program Fellowship 2018 meant one year of high-level training alongside the Facebook team, focused on building and leading online communities. Through our humanitarian campaigns, we have raised 6,300,000 so far, which we used to renovate and equip hospital departments that care for mothers and children. The mission of LaPrimulBebe is to provide an empathetic and trustworthy online space where mothers receive informational and emotional support during the first years after childbirth.

Through sports, education, arts, and culture, we aim to give children and young people from the Szekler and Roma minorities in the heart of Romania the opportunity to learn and develop social, personal, and professional skills - to improve their future prospects and enable greater participation in society.

KNE Sustainability Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting global sustainable thinking and action. Our goal is to accelerate the dissemination of sustainability knowledge through modern media and e-learning. We are funded through partnerships, grants, and collaborations with organizations committed to sustainability and regeneration. Our key initiatives include the Global Goals Compass, a tool that provides guidance on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and ReGen.rocks, an interactive social learning platform designed to educate young people on sustainability, connect them in a social network and match them with regenerative projects. Additionally, we connect researchers in the field of sustainable development, create innovative e-learning programs, and support companies and organizations in effectively implementing sustainability and regeneration strategies. The Sibiu Community Foundation (SCF) is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and resilient society in Romania, guided by principles of democracy, human rights, and ethical governance. Operating in a country still grappling with the legacies of its communist past-marked by economic disparity, corruption, societal discrimination, and gender inequalities-SCF strives to bridge these gaps through strategic, community-driven initiatives. Its core mission is to empower vulnerable populations-including women and girls, Roma, displaced persons, migrants, and marginalized groups-by promoting social justice, economic independence, education, leadership, and civic participation. As a women-led organization with an all-female board and executive team, SCF exemplifies its commitment to gender equality, ensuring that women's voices influence community initiatives and policymaking. The foundation believes that sustainable social progress comes from inclusive leadership, authentic public participation, and collaborative partnerships with public authorities, the private sector, and civil society. Building trust and transparency remains central to its approach, enabling it to develop scalable programs that produce tangible, lasting impact. SCF's operational excellence was demonstrated through its rapid and effective response during crises. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the foundation played a pivotal role in fundraising and managing procurement activities to support Romanian hospitals, strengthening health systems at a critical time. Its comprehensive approach extended beyond medical supplies to include social outreach, aid distribution, and awareness campaigns, helping vulnerable communities withstand the social and economic shocks of the pandemic. In 2022, SCF's dedication to humanitarian response was further exemplified through its leadership during the Ukrainian refugee emergency. Establishing a dedicated operational team, the foundation coordinated logistics, provided psychosocial support, and facilitated integration programs for a rapidly growing Ukrainian community-numbering approximately 8,000 people-within Sibiu County. Their initiatives included UN-funded projects focused on language learning, vocational training, cultural exchange, and mental health, promoting social cohesion and empowering displaced persons to rebuild their lives. This work garnered international recognition when the team was awarded the European Economic and Social Committee Civil Society Prize in 2022. In 2024, recognizing the importance of strategic consolidation and long-term impact, SCF integrated its emergency response team into its broader organizational framework. This integration created one of Romania's largest and most dynamic community foundation teams, capable of addressing a wide spectrum of community needs across social development, civic engagement, and humanitarian aid. As a United Nations Refugee Response Partner, the foundation commits to coordinated, sustainable interventions that foster diversity, inclusion, and social cohesion. Today, SCF actively promotes community engagement through local initiatives, innovative projects, and advocacy efforts that aim to promote behavioral change, enhance educational and economic opportunities, and support local leadership. Its programs are designed to be scalable and replicable, ensuring that best practices can be adopted across different regions and communities. The foundation's overarching goal is to foster social resilience, reduce inequalities, and build a society where everyone-regardless of background-has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to Romania's democratic, inclusive future. SCF envisions a Romania in which societal barriers are replaced by bridges of understanding, cooperation, and mutual respect. It is dedicated to fostering partnerships that uphold the rule of law, promote ethical governance, and prioritize human dignity.
