Refugee Action provides direct support to people seeking safety in the UK, as well as campaigning for their rights. Our vision is that refugees and people seeking asylum will be welcome in the UK. They will get justice, live free of poverty and be able to successfully rebuild their lives.

Samaritans provides confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those with suicidal thoughts. Money is raised to support telephone, face-to-face, email and text-message support as well as outreach and education activities.

Aims2Cure finances research into finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis at leading institutions in the UK. In 2007 Aims2Cure established The Michele Elster Fund to help improve the lives of people with MS and alleviate the obstacles everyday living may present.

Friends aim to provide services & amenities to support the social experience of all ages that have to stay in hospital either before or following treatment. Funds are raised over and above the NHS provision to provide patient comforts, which help to improve time spent in hospital. A Big Thank you!

St Wilfrid's Hospice is a local charity providing skilled and compassionate care and treatment for all patients and their families with complex needs as they near the end of life. The Lions Club of Windsor has raised around £2m through large and small events and corporate sponsorship. Not bad for a local charity club, however none of this would have been possible without its supporters and members - ordinary people doing extraordinary things! The club is part of the Lions Clubs International, the largest community service organisation in the world. It raises funds and provides services for those less fortunate locally, nationally and internationally.

The MPS Society provides specialist support to children, adults and families in the UK who are affected by MPS, Fabry and related lysosomal storage diseases and we fund research into treatment and therapies. These diseases are rare, genetic, life-limiting conditions with no cure.

Sunshine Hospital Radio provides a free radio service tailored to the needs of Weston General Hospital’s patients, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our programmes are designed to make their stay in hospital just that little bit more comfortable and hopefully the recovery period that bit shorter.

A gift to City's bursary fund enables access to world-class education for girls who would otherwise be unable to study with us. Over 15% of our students receive means-tested bursaries, and we are so grateful to our community for helping us offer these life-changing opportunities. Thank you!

Bristol Children's Charity has no paid officials and every penny raised by the charity is spent helping children who live within a 25 mile radius of Bristol city centre and are living in conditions of need, hardship or distress. Funds are donated to help these children improve their quality of life.
