Amecet Ministries employs a modular system of training for ministry leaders with the goal of immersing them in Kingdom concepts especially through relationships. Based on biblical foundations, the curriculum is designed to provide a transportable working knowledge of Christian Principles that can be taught at the individual and community level. We believe this training is critical to rebuilding a society that has been devastated by war, disease, and famine. Another vital component of what we do is to partner with local churches in conducting gospel services and small group meetings to bring the message of hope and renewal to unreached and under reached areas. We intend to become part of the cultural dynamic of the nations we serve and fully experience all the characteristics of the image and likeness of God as expressed by each individual and cultural group.

Recrear is a non-profit organization comprised of young social innovators from around the globe. We carry out participatory research project to support our partnering organizations with the design, implementation, and monitoring of youth-friendly programs. We use a youth-to-youth approach to collect information on young people's perspectives. Through programs that use creative and engaging techniques (photography, sports, development theatre, and many others), we supply space and tools for youth to articulate their needs and build a vision for their community's development. Based on the information and insight we gather, we then strive to deepen the connection and improve the quality of collaboration between youth and development partners.
The vision of SONG is to provide under-served children and youth with the opportunity to engage in ensemble music-making, which promotes the social values and principles that lead to positive social change and a brighter future. Inspired by el Sistema, a youth music program rooted in Venezuela, SONG supports the mission by providing a socially inclusive choral and orchestral music program for under-served children and youth in Northumberland County, Ontario. As the founder of el Sistema, Maestro Jose Antonio Abreu, once said, “Music, within people’s reach, must be the highest expression of human dignity and social justice.” Through SONG not only will music be within children’s reach – it will change their lives.

Youth Empowering Parents (YEP) in an idea that was inspired by a natural phenomenon that exists within many newcomer families where youth and children help their parents integrate into Canadian society by teaching them basic skills such as computers and language. The aim of YEP is to transfer this youth-parent dynamic – the level of comfort, the similar language, and the one-on-one teaching – into a classroom where it can be formalized and built upon. Rather than a traditional classroom with an instructor, YEP trains youth with the skills to act as effective service providers by tutoring adults in their community in the basics of English and computer skills. Since YEP began in 2010, youth have contributed over 10,000 volunteer hours into their own neighbourhoods.
Growing Chefs! has a vision for a future with healthier kids making healthier choices. Our program teaches children about growing and cooking healthy food by placing chef volunteers into elementary schools. Through our hands-on Growing Chefs! Classroom Gardening and Cooking Program, we teach kids about where their food comes from and the benefits of eating fresh, nutritious meals. Growing Chefs! pairs teams of chef volunteers with elementary school classrooms to grow vegetables, do cooking lessons, and get kids excited about healthy eating. On the chefs’ first visit, they help students plant indoor windowsill gardens consisting of fast-growing vegetables. The chefs return to the classroom every two weeks for 3.5 months to help the students care for the garden and lead lessons on nutrition, gardening, and healthy food systems. At the end of the program, the chefs help the students harvest their vegetables and teach them to cook delicious meals with the food they’ve grown.
