Our Branch has served the North Shore community since 1958 when a group of West Vancouver individuals organized a social club called the "White Cross" where adults with mental illness could meet, socialize and develop skills. This became the first drop-in center to be sponsored by CMHA in British Columbia. While our current programs and services differ from those originally begun in 1958 our commitment to reducing recidivism rates and increasing the mental health of everyone in our community remains. Our current programs include individual advocacy, a weekly health lecture series, Volunteers in Partership - North Shore, ACHIEVE a planning and employment service, support groups, housing and public education.

CPAWS is Canada's pre-eminent, non-profit wilderness protection organization. With a network of 13 chapters, 20,000 members, over 50 staff and hundreds of committed volunteers, since 1963 CPAWS has helped to conserve over 400,000 square kilometers of Canada's most treasured wild places in parks and other protected areas- an area nearly seven times the size of Nova Scotia!

Founded in 1910, the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) is the independent voice for public health in Canada with links to the international community. As the only Canadian non-governmental organization focused exclusively on public health, CPHA is uniquely positioned to advise decision-makers about public health system reform and to guide initiatives to help safeguard the personal and community health of Canadians and people around the world. With a diverse membership representing more than 25 professions, a track record of success, a collaborative approach and national reach, CPHA is Canada’s Public Health Leader.

The Canadian Shaare Zedek Hospital Foundation is a Canadian not-for-profit that has been working, in partnership with similar offices around the world, for nearly 40 years, to raise funds in support of the Medical Center. For more than a century, Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, a 500-bed facility located in the center of the city, has been known as a "Hospital with a Heart." The Medical Center relies on the support of friends around the world to provide the resources for research, special projects and capital development. Each year, the Hospital identifies its fundraising priorities. It usually includes a menu of projects to improve or update current areas within the Hospital as well as more specific development projects to improve current Centers of Excellence.

Canadian University College is a Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher learning located in the heartland of Alberta surrounded by lakes and lush countryside. At CUC we believe in the complete university college experience. We provide an environment where academic, physical, and spiritual growth is encouraged. CUC has provided Christian education for more than 100 years, and offers more than 20 undergraduate degree programs.

CUC Friends is an annual campaign to assist the CUC in its annual work. Almost 10% of our revenue is from our friends. The Endowment Campaign is to increase our endowment fund to ensure long-term stability to our income. Sharing Our Faith fund is a yearly program to collect and then disburse funds to congregations with specific growth plans. The Individual Member program is for those who want to belong to the CUC when being a member of a congregation is not convenient or preferred.

The Canadian Wildlife Federation is dedicated to fostering an awareness and appreciation of our natural world. By spreading knowledge of human impacts on the environment, sponsoring research, promoting the sustainable use of natural resources, recommending legislative changes, and co-operating with like-minded partners, CWF encourages a future in which Canadians may live in harmony with nature. The Canadian Youth for Christ ministry is involved in responsible, effective and culturally sensitive evangelism of youth, communicating and caring in ways that are relevant to this generation. The ministry is committed to acting as a resource in helping to futher the worldwide vision and mission of Youth for Christ International.

Today,at its campuses in Beer-Sheva, Sede Boqer and Eilat, over 20,000 students are enrolled in all BGU'S many Faculties. Respeatedly voted the most popular choice of Israeli undergraduate students, the University is known for its dynamic atmosphere and commitment to excelence in teaching and research.

The Cape Breton Regional Library has focused on the lifelong learning needs of its users since it was formed in 1950. The library provides information and entertainment for residents of all ages. Through thirteen library branches and two bookmobiles, the library offers services and materials to the public at no charge. A few of the services that can be accessed with a library card include, borrowing books, magazines and DVD/videos; interlibrary loans; programs for children and adults; free Internet and word processing in every branch; free computer training in some libraries; and access to on-line magazine databases.The Cape Breton Regional Library employs 60 people in a variety of jobs across the region.

Today, CCSS serves a large number of North Vancouver residents through targeted youth programs, seniors programs, and the Red Cross Loan Program. Youth CCSS concentrates on ensuring youth have access to resources to reduce the risks associated with the developmental challenges of the pre-teen and teen years. Since the youth program is based on outreach, one of our primary goals is to create opportunities to identify youth at-risk and provide support to the individual and their family. Seniors' Hub - operates 12 services that are designed to improve the health of very frail and isolated seniors provide increaseed activity, and peer support, and a sense of belonging to a community of peers. These are important factors which can significantly improve health and quality of life. Red Cross Loan - This program offers the North Shore community a free short term loan of medical equipment such as mobility and bath aids.
